Glad to see that Tawny Kitaen is on board for this edition! She participates in promos and there's a brand new (bluray only) second commentary track with her and costar Brett Huff. Excellent! Tawny Kitaen and the director of the original Emmanuelle(74) and the Story of O brings a (relatively) high budget fetish-fest. Exotic locales, exotic women. Great production design and wardrobe(when the cast is clothed). Based on John Willie's iconic fetishy comic serial. In fact, one of the extras is a vintage(audio) interview between Alfred Kinsey and John Willie - back in the day a fellas "bent" needed to be tagged and studied, I guess. If you don't, good luck. A rip-roaring Indiana Jones-style movie with a much higher sexual content, not for the kiddies. Really at least two or three plots jammed together like a Saturday morning serial. Except this leads to one of the most bizarre ending ever. A bondage paradise, complete with pony girls. More kink than you can shake a stick at. The last half hour is pure delirium, with all-girl chariot races. That includes the horses. It's all too corny to take serious, the most winning factor. Too glossy and high production, with excellent direction from softcore maestro Just Jaeckin, beautiful girls and crazy situations. If your tastes lean towards one-of-a-kind exploitation, this is a must. Never before nor after has anything this so... mainstream bondage been attempted before. I got the Special Edition which comes with a cool slipcover and a handful of small lobby cards. Now...the restoration was done very well and it comes with some good interviews and extras. But, I found the film to be very boring. Yes, you have nudity but it is far from erotic. It's like that episode of Seinfeld where he had that girlfriend that walked around naked in his apartment but it wasn't as thrilling that you would think it would be. You would think that the director of Emmanuelle would do better in that department. But, for fans of the movie you will not be disappointed.
