Casuals BEWARE
If you're a casual gamer just move along right now. This ain't your game lol. It'll make you rip your hair out. As for my hardcore gamers, let's get into it shall we.After not playing a NG game since the NES, I was more than excited to play NG3: RE on the Wii U. There's just one tiny bit I wasn't prepared for....the difficulty level. Yes friends, NG is a true "gamer's" game. It's unforgiving in battle, but lets you know it still cares with infinite checkpoint respawns. Don't think for a second that just because you can keep respawning to your checkpoint you won't get tired...of dying, or that the game's somehow because of it. The game will drive you MAD unless you play on the easiest setting, which I haven't tried, cuz I ain't no b**** man lol. The difficulty rating for this game goes like this when compared to the normal standard:Easy in NG = Normal in real lifeNormal in NG = Hard in real lifeHard in NG = May cause stress, depression, isolation, insomnia, loss of appetite, high blood pressure, stroke & heart failure. Please check with your doctor before making sure that Hard Mode in NG is right for you.If you love a challenge, & love to feeling of mastering your craft. This game is for you. I see people saying the battles are repetitive. This is not true. I'm the one who has to keep repeating myself. I reviewed Muramasa The Demon for the Wii on my other Amazon account. GREAT game, check it out if you haven't. People called that game repetitive in battle too but that was untrue. It's just that most people button mash & just move forward because they're no good. In game like these you have to make your own experience. There are countless numbers of button combination to explore. So much so that I doubt anyone can remember all of them. Levelling up weapons, Ninpo & finding new weapons vastly increases your fighting CAPABILITIES. Notice I used the word "capable". Because you are "capable" of doing a lot in this game, but the majority of the masses will lazily use one or two combos to complete the entire game then complain about how they're boring *cough* I mean the game is boring :)The controls are tight and responsive. If you're good at playing fighters you'll have a much easier time with this game as speed & timing are key to your success in this game. Most times you're vastly outnumbered by close range, AND long distance enemies all at once. Blocking, dodging & countering skills are imperative. Most times even though you have space you'll feel squeezed under the attacks. The graphics in the game so-so. It looks like an early last gen game. The character designs are GREAT. Really sharp, high textured, & detailed. They stand out from the background, which most times isn't too great. The scenery is nowhere as good looking as the characters in terms of design but it doesn't matter as any one standing around looking at scenery in this game won't have a head for very long. What I didn't like about the graphics though is that most of it just filler. Static backgrounds that can't access, touch or even move around. It looks like part of the area but there are invisible walls preventing you from going anywhere other than where you have to go, & where you've been, so its kinda hard to get lost. For me it feels a bit too linear. Though beat 'em ups generally are, for a 3D environment it's a little disappointing on a next gen system. I should point out that the game itself is actually last gen though so I guess it can't be helped. The music & voice acting is SOLID. I enjoyed it. The story is pretty decent as well. I won't give away any spoilers, but if you're into stuff like the illuminati & european secret societies trying to take over the world, & you think that stopping them with a Ninja is a good idea, you'll like this game's story. I should also mention that after dying enough times, the games asks you if you want to change the difficulty while in-game. It only works between Easy & Normal difficulty though, & is not possible if you selected to play the game on the hardest. It's a great feature, if you're a chump :)All in all it's a great experience, but for adults. I wouldn't recommend this game for kids. The level of profanity is HIGH. EVERYONE you fight cusses lol, the level of blood, screams & gore shoots through the roof, not to mention the skimpy dressed female characters with the "goods" that us adult gamers enjoy. Put the kids to bed before putting on this one, cuz you'll be cussing yourself after playing certain battles lol. Hardcore Wii U gamers should get this.

Being a Ninja is Hard
I've always loved Beat Em Ups, Hack and Slashes, and really any non shooter 3rd person action game, so I decided to try out Ninja Gaiden 3.I'm glad I did because even though it is pure perfection I have one complaint about Bayonetta, she isn't a ninja. Ryu is a ninja and an awful one at that.I had only played the Ninja Gaiden demo on OG Xbox years ago so I stepped into this fresh with little to no previous experience of the Ninja Gaiden games. That was a mistake, immediately after I was given control of Mr. Hayabusa I preceded to rush into to combat with confidence gained from playing Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising and died. I was playing in front of people so not wanting to bitch out, I continued confidence damaged greatly and died again. After multiple tries and the game mocking me by asking to drop to a lower difficulty, I finally got to the first boss and this is when I fell in love with this game. I spent about an hour getting my ass kicked but every time I died, I came back with new knowledge of the fight. Finally after learning patterns and getting better with the dodging, I won. After an hour of losing and learning I won and it felt great. Now after everyone left I switched to easy but it still felt great and even on easy the game is still not a walk in the park the odds are just a little more in your favor.I had a blast playing the game. The plot, not so much. By the end of the game I wanted every one to die. Ryu, Mizuki, Conna EVERYBODY.Once it was established that Ryu and Mizuki have an interest in each other I gagged consonantly every time they had a "moment" on screen specifically after the "adorable" moment between Ryu and Conna, Mizuki's daughter. The characters themselves, except Conna, are fine but they're forced into crappy tropes which ruins it for me.All in all Ninja Gaiden 3 is a great game that narrowly escapes the awfulness of it's plot. Also Momiji better be the star of the next game.
