Narcotics Anonymous Basic Text 6th Edition Hardcover

So the Basic Text is the Basic Text. But when doing lit studies it's easier to follow along with your group when everyone is using the same format of the book. I have this in the paperback and digital versions. Best investment I've made in my recovery in terms of reading material. I'm always prepared and my digital version has my highlighting in one color and my group highlighting in another. Just my thoughts.

Recovery books are always a good thing

This basic text book was great quality for the most part. It had minimal wear but had people’s names and some phone numbers wrote in it which were quite personal. I had to take white out and wipe them all out, so no one else saw them that didn’t need to see them. It still had the dust jacket which is in pretty good shape overall, I’m impressed.

Great read and good insights to help on anyone's journey back from the depths of hell. If you also just want to understand more this is a good book to read as well. As addictions effect the whole family.

This is the standard NA book on Twelve Step recovery for people addicted to chemicals. In my view it is a better text in mny ways from the AA 'Big Book' because it is more up-to-date and does not have Bill W's excellent but dated writing style of some seventy-odd years ago, so it is better suited to younger people today.

C'est un livre parlant de rétablissement et non de méthodes plus ou moins sulfureuses ou à la mode pour s'en mettre plein les poches écrit par quelques psychiatres en mal de publicité facile.

Bought this for a close friend. Loved took them to a meeting. But did explain that NA is for addicts and AA is for alcoholics. They ain't the same. I read the book and didn't get it. But she did....... and that's the point. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then you read a book about ducks and a book about sparrows and you identify with the ducks, then it's possible your a duck and not a sparrow. Find out whether you a duck or a sparrow and join the right flock. There's nothing more glorious that finding a bunch of ducks when you're a duck. They'll teach you how to fly like a duck. Remember sparrows can't swim like the other ducks and drown!
