Free legal updates will keep your program current through 2020. Technical support is also available. Hereโs more about the documents you can make with Quicken Willmaker & Trust 2020 : Your Will: The heart of every estate plan is a will, also known as a last will and testament. This legal document puts you in control of who inherits your property and who would take care of your children if it were ever necessary. Without a will, state law determines these issues. Your will also allows you to name an executor (sometimes called a โpersonal representativeโ) to carry out your wishes. And you can appoint a trusted person to manage property left to young people. With Quicken Willmaker & Trust 2020 , you can revise and update your will whenever you like. Living Trust: Use a living trust to help your estate avoid probate after you die. Like a will, a living trust distributes property to the people you name. But unlike a will, property that passes through a living trust can be passed directly to your beneficiaries, without waiting for court approval -- saving your beneficiaries time and money. With Quicken Willmaker & Trust 2020 living trust, you can make an individual trust or make a shared trust with your spouse. You can also use the program to create revocations of trust (if you want to end your trust) and certifications of trust (so that you donโt have to show your entire trust to financial institutions). You can also use the trust restatement to update your trust as often as you like, without needing to retitle your property. Your Health Care Directive: Spare your loved ones difficult decisions by laying out your wishes for medical care (living will) and naming someone to carry out your instructions (power of attorney for health care). Your Durable Power of Attorney for Finances: A durable power of attorney ensures that someone you trust (called your "agent" or "attorney-in-fact") will be on hand to manage the many practical, financial tasks that will arise if you become incapacitated. For example, bills must be paid, bank deposits must be made and someone must handle insurance and benefits paperwork. In most cases, a durable power of attorney for finances is the best way to take care of tasks like these. Your Final Arrangements: Plan a funeral or other ceremony and ease the burden on your loved ones. Describe your preferences for burial, cremation, memorials, obituaries and more. Documents for Your Executor: Make sure your executor has all the forms and instructions necessary to do the job: checklists, letters, notices and claim forms. Information for Caregivers and Survivors: Organize your information so that your survivors don't have to. Use these documents to give them details about everything from bank accounts, to passwords, to the names of people you'd like contacted in the event of your illness or death. Letter to Survivors: Use the Letter to Survivors to leave your loved ones detailed explanations about your decisions. For example, you may want to let them know why you made certain gifts or named a particular person to be your executor. You can also use your letter to leave some general thoughts about your life. Personal Finance Documents: Over a dozen forms let you handle common financial situations, such as lending or borrowing money between friends or family, creating a bill of sale, and closing a credit card account. Home & Family Documents: Practical forms you can use every day to help run your home and keep your family safe, including authorizations and agreements, promissory notes, limited powers of attorney, and child and elder care forms. BONUS : With Quicken Willmaker & Trust 2020 you also get the e-book Special Needs Trust: Protect Your Child's Financial Future . Learn how to provide for a loved one with special needs without jeopardizing government benefits. Includes all of the forms and information you need to make a third-party special needs trust. * Quicken Willmaker & Trust 2020 is designed to be used only in the United States of America, and its estate planning documents are not valid in Louisiana or U.S. Territories. A couple days after New Year 2024 celebration, I thought I should get down to business & get my house in order & figured I'd give a try to see if I could still use my 2023 version a try. Much to my surprise when I put in the 2023 code, it worked & I now have the 2024 version online! The interface is intuitive & pretty easy to follow. If you get stumped on an area you can skip it & come back later to complete. The online help & suggestions are very useful. I've got a decent size estate with property, multiple investment accounts, a couple of kids & 4 grandkids, plus my lovely lady & I want everyone to get what I want each to have when I kick the bucket, now how the prostate court wants to divvy things up & I will have this completely set up within the next 2 weeks using this great program! Oh yeah, I'll be saving THOUSANDS of dollars not paying a lawyer to do it, probably using templates or software they've bought online! Review: Software is easy to use; book is helpful - The back of the book contains a code to download the software. I went to the website, entered the code, and the software downloaded within a few minutes. You are given two choices: download the software to a computer/laptop or upload it to the cloud. If you download it to a computer/laptop, it can only be done once (multiple downloads to multiple devices are not permitted). Each document (Will, Medical Directive, etc.) can be created for more than one personโgood for all family members. You can save completed documents as PDFs, email them and, of course, print them for required signatures. The software works like TurboTax: simply answer questions and it will guide you through it. The book, while looking intimidating, contains valuable supplemental information in a very easy to understand language. It is written in a way that allows you to jump around from each topic as needed.

Covers the basics
The only way to set bequests is by full percentage no half percentage or dollar amount. Other than that the software works very well. Redid my will a dozen times and finally got it done signed sealed and notarized.

Good will and accompanying documents
I've had 3 wills drafted by 2 different attorneys over the years and one Willmaker. This is by far the easiest to read and most complete. Instead of being asked 10-20 questions and expected to answer on the spot, I like the much more complete questions and options and the ability to think it over and change answers if needed. The first time I used Willmaker I checked it out from the library. Now, 2-3 years later things have changed and I think it's well worth it to buy it. This is the 'plus' WillMaker and includes the ability to make trusts.

Worked for me
So it's literally a book. On the inside of the back cover of the book is a product key. You go to the website (which worked) enter your name and email address and the product key. They email you a link to set up an on-line account. I was done in a matter of minutes without any problems. You can also download the software to your computer, which I did. As for the software itself I've only started using it. However we've used it in the past and it works. We're not really concerned about an all out legal battle over our wills - so it's more just getting down our wishes in something that hopefully is legal.

Product worked eventually, but had to contact support to get a valid download/key.
Product seems good so far, but my issue is with the invalid product keys being shipped with the books. I ordered and received the book on time & it even had the product key on the back cover, but when I went to redeem it, the product key was invalid. I tried to call the number for support, but support is only M-F during business hours only and I tried on a Saturday morning to install this... Anyways, I sent an email to customer support and received a response with a download link first thing on Monday morning in my spam inbox. Download worked and software is running now. Shipped and sold by Amazon, but mine had issues redeeming & hence the 3 stars.

Easy to use, well worth the money
Received yesterday and have both will and living will/medical power of attorney completed! I will need an attorney for an enhanced (Lady Bird) deed since TOD not available in Florida, but still well worth the money.

Just OK, but problems when you want to make changes later on...
A product I purchased years back in 2010 when I first created my revocable living trust and 'pour over will' to accompany it. At the time, it was a fairly straightforward process and I printed out all the associated documents, and hustled over to the local notary public at a famous shipping store and got everything notarized. Years go by, and I made some small refinements where I altered the percentages handed down to various beneficiaries, and that was again a smooth process, albeit I had to rebuy the 'current' version of Quicken Willmaker (more on that process in a moment). I once again printed out the revised (updated) trust and will documents and once again travelled and got everything notarized. Fast forward to 2025, I wanted to alter the percentages once again, so I purchased Quicken Willmaker 2025 from Amazon, but this time, it was impossible to make alterations or modifications to the original document in a way that made me feel comfortable. The problem is this program doesn't let you go back and edit anything from a prior year, period. It asks you to type the language exactly that you want to modify from the original document and then type the new 'modified' text. I am likely not conveying this properly, but suffice it to say you are better off going to a trust attorney and paying whatever it costs to have things done properly and RETAINED in the attorney's computers, in case you want to make changes later. The reality is that things happen, and people die or fall out from grace. When you want to make revisions down the road, that will NOT be an easy or comfortable process, and will require you to rebuy the software each year when you want to make a change. In my opinion, this product could be MUCH MUCH MUCH better, but Quicken (or whomever they paid to write this software product) is more interested in collecting ongoing fees every time you want to make a change (by making you re-buy the product over and over). In addition, I was unable to call up my old documents and 'cut and paste them' into the 2025 version of the program. If you try calling in to Quicken support (it's actually another company called NOLO [from the latin nolo contendere meaning "I don't contest it"] the support person will do their best to try to refer you to a participating attorney at additional expense. It's like the famous line in that western comedy "What we have here is a FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE". I would pass on this and did. I returned it unused to Amazon. What a huge disappointment.

Not accurately described
The product should specify that this kit is for US residents. Not for Canadian wills.

Buyer Beware - Useless
Complete waste of money. When I loaded software, it redirected me to Quicken's website, which told me I needed to buy an updated version at full price.
