Science In Seconds.

Bought it for the K-6 Elementary school's staff library. It been out circulating almost a month and still has a long waiting list. Teacher's and student's really like the quick and simple experiments with easy explanations within the book. Student's can't wait to do take these experiments to home and sharing their new knowledge. Highly recommended for teachers and parents..

Great book! don't waste your money on those expensive science kits. This book is perfect for the child that says "I want to do a science experiment!" every night when getting home from school. So far, we have had all the stuff we needed and it only takes a few minutes to complete a simple science experiment that just might amaze your kids!

BIL had this on his wishlist for his son and I'm always buying books for them. I was a little surprised to see this on his list because both his kids are under 4 years but, as a lover of science, I love to encourage young people to explore and learn. The book is full of age appropriate experiments you can help your child with and they don't take a lot of time. All ingredients and supplies are listed with each experiment. My nephew was so excited to get started with the experiments he asked his parents if he could sleep with the book the first night he had it. That, to me, was worth the cost of the book. Who knows? I might have helped the next scientist start his career a little early.

Granddaughter loved this book. We did almost all experiments in this book. Loved that most of the items needed were things we had in the house.

Seven year old grandson LOVES it. Materials lists are mostly ordinary items you already have. Instructions are simple to follow with limited adult supervision. Children older than 7 could likely complete them without help. We've worked through 3 of the first 4 chapters and the experiments all work as described. Many of the experiments could easily expand into science projects. And the best part: in this entire 4 day visit he has played about 2 minutes of Candy Crush and has been way more interested in repeating experiments than in computer games. I will be looking for the sequel.

The pros to the this book are it's simplicity and practicality. The experiments require simple things you usually would find in a house with a kid. After we do an expiriment, I have my 6 yr old daughter read the explanation out loud and we talk about it. Personally, I'm looking for a little more depth than this book offers.

My home schooling daughter-in-law loves these hands-on science books for kids. And so do the kids!

Great fun and informative book for kids. Adults enjoy it too when the kids are not checking it out. Would highly recommend.

My daughter loves her science book - very educational and although we haven't done any experiments yet, she often sits down and goes through the book's ideas.

Bought this to do science experiments with my son for home schooling and so far it hasn't disappointed! The items needed for experiments are bits from around the house and the experiments are quite easy to do! The explanations of how and why the results happen are clear and easy for my son to understand!
