An Essential Tool for Precise, Aggressive Shaping.
This is the ideal tool for dressing the edges of cut drywall sheets. Unlike a standard rasp or sanding block, the perforated Surform blade shears through the gypsum core and paper facing without clogging or causing the paper to tear. The rigidity of the die-cast body allows for precise control, making it incredibly effective for creating clean, uniform chamfers on butt joints.

A Basic Tool for Basic Jobs
Well, I needed a planer to trim a pantry door which was scraping on recently installed laminate flooring. I saw that most of the "newfangled" products cost a small fortune -- I was not up for that. I remembered from my youthful days working summers with my HS maintenance crew and my days as a stagehand that we used to use smaller handheld planers on doors and scenery. So I looked around on Amazon for something small and inexpensive. Once again Amazon came through for me! I shaved our pantry door in minutes and now our universe is almost back in order. I will now try the same on our front door! The item comes with ONE blade, which is held in place by latching it on to one end and then inserting it into a plastic holder at the other end and twisting the knob. Now the blade stayed in place during my work but only after i learned to stay clear of the holder at the one end. There are no knobs to grip on the top part of the unit itself -- you must hold it in your hand as you work. All in all you can't beat the price, and it is a Stanley. I don't know how long the blade will last before it must be replaced. Nor do I know as I write this where I can get a replacement. But I kept my expectations low when I bought it because, after all, you get what you pay for. I am satisfied because I should be able to complete my remaining job, and then I will give it a nice resting place in my toolbox! A basic tool for basic jobs!

Gets the job done.
I needed to take a little bit off the side of a door. I didn't want to take the door off it's hinges but a normal plane wouldn't be able to get into the corner. This plane did just that - the cutting surface goes right out to the edge. Did the job.

This is the only drywall rasp you want to buy.
These are the best. Because honestly it’s the only rasp you can find replacement blades for. All the other ones of they get worn out. They’re grade. This one you can st least replace the screen

Ask a pro how to fix your drywall mishap
Works great on grating lumps of spackle left on walls by inexperienced carpenters or dumb dyi ers., it works to get a even finish with the existing drywall, but of coarse, you need to spackle a thin coat to get rid of chafing marks.
