The plastic fins do a great job of "scraping" the sides of the bowl when stirring and hydrating bread flour, making brownies. I've used the edge scraper for mixing a dozen eggs for scrambled eggs as well.Good product

This beater really gets the sides of the bowl. Eliminates the need for manually scraping the bowl. I recommend it for every baker.

So glad I found this at a great price. Tried it out tonight. Happy with it. I like to have several on hand with all my baking.

I got this product for my kitchen side mixer because I’m always in the bowl scraping down the sides. This paddle works great. So glad I bought it!

One issue with Kitchen Aid beaters--especially if you are using a recipe that calls for several mnutes of beating a mixture is that you need to stop and wipe down the sides with a spatula from time to time. Not surprisingly several folks came up with the same idea--put a flexible rubber "edge" on a replacement beater so it "wipes" the sides of the Kitchen Aid metal bowl. And this beater does a good job of that. A particular cookie recipe I baked used a half pound of butter and a couple of differnt sugars. It callled for ten minutes of beating the butter and sugar together.I did find once place the "wiper" didn't reach. And that was at the very bottom of the bowl where there was a bit of butter that didn't get incorporated. So this beater is not 100% perfect--but it's pretty close. Next time I'll stop the beating action half wy through and turn use a spatula to scrape the bottom to the top--problem will be solved.

Fits a little loose but haven't had any problems. Even though it has two wipers verse single wiper, it is a joy to be able to mix without having to stop and using a spatula to wipe the sides of the bowl to get a good mix. Upon watching the mixing, I noticed that the second wiper isn't really needed as the bowl is wiped entirely due to gearing. Either one will work but this one has good quality and time will tell how durable it is in time.

Love the tool but the rubber on the sides tears off ,we do use the mixer often, how ever, Kitchen aid usually holds up better.
