Excellent case for my use - AFTER small mod
I just received this case and can say it seems to be quite durable. Tossed it in a full tube of water for 5 minutes with no water leakage. Mine will be packed in a waterproof dry bag however its still nice knowing the case itself is highly water resistant itself. The inside foam seems dense and will hold cards well with light use however any type of hard bump will cause the cards to pop out. I had 2 of 3 Micro SD cards pop loose from a 4' drop to a carpeted floor. I'd also guess the foam will wear easily as time passes with use and can see the inserts holding the cards less securely. Again, just guessing here from playing with a few cards today. It was delivered in an Amazon box and packaged in a sealed plastic hanging case. I really hate these things! Have a sharp knife or pair of scissors on hand when it arrives. I wish they'd just put the damned thing in a cardboard box you can recycle later. Yeah, I know its a nitpick but its one a lot of people have. For my use, I needed a secure hard shell case to protect 36 new SanDisk Extreme PRO Micro SD cards I've ordered for an upcoming motorcycle trip. Unfortunately, the only other case that was setup specifically to handle many Micro SD cards was simply too large being over 1" longer, wider and deeper. When traveling on a motorcycle for 2 months space is a premium. So.. The Mod... Using a kitchen butter knife I was able to gently pull up a corner of the foam and pull it out. While not shown double face tape covers the complete back of each piece of foam. Taking a few seconds to gently pull it out it's easy to do so without damaging the existing foam. Next I grabbed a thin piece of foam from a PC motherboard box, then using one of the removed inserts I traced the correct size twice and cut each out. With a new razor blade you simply score a slit across for the Micro SD cards to fit in. I left about 4mm uncut on each side. Easily holds 3 in a single cut slit and could go 4 if needed. Multiply this by 10 to 15 rows (I cut 12) and you can easily hold 30-45 Micro SD cards securely while still having enough room for an adapter card or other transfer stick, cable, etc. While I show 2 adapter cards I'll actually have a Sabrent SuperSpeed and a Lexar microSD To Lightning Reader packed inside this where the adapter cards are shown. Both will easily fit inside along with 36 cards for my trip. It's a quick, easy and cheap mod that allows you to go from securing just 6 Micro SD cards up to 60 easily enough and maybe even 80 if you went 4 deep and cut 20 rows. Not everyone would need this much storage for Micro SD cards however its easily done. What I'd like to see changed on this would be to package them in a regular card board box. I'd like to see them add a 3/4" thumb latch to both ends to ensure it remains closed and water tight and in doing so remove the lanyard loop on the one end. Of course, to also add a pre-slotted foam insert for Micro SD cards would be great as well. :) I'm giving it 5 of 5 STARS though I really would like to remove a star for the darn plastic they use for packaging. Overall, and after the foam swap, I'm fully happy with this product.

Superior Protection for Your Sensitive Cards
I was hesitant to purchase this item (the 0915) due to so many reviews stating that the 0915 is such a step down from the 0910. But I had several loose SD cards that were starting to pile up and I needed some sort of storage solution. I trust the Pelican name and I know they generally make superior products. This item was no exception, and I'm glad I went ahead with the purchase. After receiving the case, I submerged the case in a sink full of water and noticed zero leaks. I don't know how long this item will stay water proof but, for my needs, long-term water resistance is not really an issue (accidental rain exposure is probably my largest concern). Next I placed a couple of SD cards inside the case. The cards snapped in and out as easily as I would expect. I proceeded to drop and toss the case around my house several times. Afterwards, I opened the case to discover that all the cards were still snuggly inside their slots. (I want to point out that I was simulating real-world accidental drops, not spiking the case to the floor or slamming the case into the wall with all my might). I did notice that the SD cards seem to stay in their slot the best if the slot next to it also has an SD card in it. I only had one mini-SD card to test with, but it seemed to fit just fine as well. However, I do not have any macro-SD cards to test with this unit but I assume it would function as advertised. Some other reviewers pointed out that the latch was hard to open. I did not experience this at all. Sure, the latch is snug when closed, but the case is advertised as water-resistant so a tight seal is required. I would much rather have a snug latch than one that may accidentally be opened due to it's looseness. I had no trouble opening the case one handed either, though two-handed is much more convenient. As far as complaints about the 0915 not being quite as good as the 0910, I can't weigh in on that since I've never owned the 0910. But I can say I am completely pleased with the 0915 and would not hesitate to purchase it again or recommend it to my friends. This case meets my storage needs while still functioning well enough to take with me to photograph sporting events and nature trails. To sum it all up, the Pelican 0915 is a great case and well worth the $20 price tag.

Pretty solid and meets our need.
We used to keep our SD's in a ziplock back with all the plastic cases- was a mess. The exterior case is pretty rock hard plastic- it feels more like it's made in the U.S. and not overseas. Same for the foam inside the case is dense and tight- not open cell poofy foam so the chips are snug and not going to fall out even if you open it and turn upside down. If we traveled overseas or in rough environments, I'd up to an aluminum or titanium case but this case will be kept with our camera bag. It's strong enough that our lenses and camera body can't smack the chips. While I'm not about to test it, the case's rubber water gasket looks pretty good and is situated in a proper position to not get compressed unevenly. It should definitely prevent splashes and sand penetration but not sure about actually submersion beyond a quick accidental drop in the water and a quick scoop up. Any longer not sure. I do wish it had a metal closing clip vs. plastic but... the plastic closing clip is pretty thick so for casual use, it should hold up for a long, long time. Lastly we liked how our 128GB mini SD chips fit neatly underneath the SD spot- in essence you can have the SD with a 128GB mini inserted in the SD and another mini 128GB chip underneath it. Means you can basically have 2 mini chips for each SD. Note, I'm not being negative about the security features being only 4 star- it's just that there's not a lock or something which is why you'd ask for that rating so don't look down on this case due to security. Not sure where this is from, but it does have a nice tough military grade feel.

Newer version of an older but trusted case
I'll start off by saying I have the old case this one replaces, so with that said I'll add a few comparisons in this review. Overall: 4 Stars Size: 5 Stars Length (915) - 5 5/8" - Length (910) - 5" So the 915 is an extra 5/8" This includes the little clip holder on both. Width (915) - 3 1/4" - Width (910) 3 1/4" Same Height (915) - 7/8" - Height (910) - 7/8" Same Now I've read about this case being "bigger" than the older case, well it is a bit bigger… in length but let's put this into real perspective and not subjective perspective. The older case is 5 inches in length, the new one is 5 5/8" so sorry, 5/8" is not as huge as some are making it out to be. What you get for that extra 5/8" is the difference of 8 SD cards in the old 910 case and 12 SD cards in the new 915 case. I'll take the 5/8" bigger case to hold 4 extra SD cards because I have and use 4-6 SD cards per camera so it's a big difference to have enough room to hold my SD cards such as 6 for camera A and 6 for the B camera in one case, one place, done. Weight: 5 Stars The new 915 is a bit lighter than the 910 even with both fully stocked with SD cards so if you travel this shouldn't matter, which brings up the next two subjects being the actual case material and the internal insert material. Case: 4 Stars The new 915 is a bit lighter due to two factors even though it holds more SD cards. First, the 915 has a different type of case material, it looks and feels different than the 910 case does. Now all though it is lighter I will question how durable it will be over the long haul. Even the case has been designed different and how this will effect the energy dispersion of an impact will be one of those if and when it happens we will know type of events. Based on the 910 I was pretty confident it could handle a good drop or roll in a backpack, the 915 I will be a bit more careful with thus this would be where a 4 Star Rating would be. The Second part, the insert gets 5 Stars from me. I like the foam that the 915 came with. Nice to place the cards in without smashing them in place or flexing them more so in the 910 with the rubber insert. I personally didn't find the rubber insert as good as a soft rubber, my 910 had a harder rubber insert and quality seemed to vary heavily in the 910 inserts from tough to nice and soft. I always felt my cards might chip, bend, crack to some extent with the 910. The 915 to me seems to be an improvement (at least with the unit I received) as it wasn't too soft yet firm enough to keep the SD cards in place. So for now until time shows a difference I like the 915 insert which lastly is where the lighter weight most likely comes from. So between the 4 Stars and the 5 Stars for the case we get 4 1/2 for the case as an overall to be fair. Okay, the last two are part of said case however merit their own rating, the latch and hinge. Latch: 5 Stars I know on my older 910 (I would give it a generous 4 Stars) the latch would catch from random time to time on stuff and of course unlatch leaving my cards exposed. I very much like the new 915's latch. It seems to fit flush and at a more even level to the bottom of the case and not hang down or over the side. This will in an event be unlikely to chip if it gets caught, dropped or something worse, open up in travel or on site. Hinge: 3 1/2 Generous Stars I feel that the weakness of the 915 case will be the hinge in the long run as it is not built or designed as part of the case like most other Pelican cases have deflection fins/ribs to absorb the impact/energy from a hit, biff or drop. The 910 case had a wonderful hinge design where it was reinforced all along the edge and could handle a good drop (mine did and still looks brand new) because it was integrated into the case as one not a separate extended chunk of a piece of material sticking out essentially unprotected (it has a top and sides of said hinge unprotected). Really poor design from a company that prides itself on impact resistant cases. Sorry to say but if you are the designer of this case reading this review section, function over form for a Pelican product is required verses poor comprehension of the design process where form needs to stand out. Molds are easy to design, I know first hand about this, any excuse or reason otherwise would require a repeat enrollment back to remedial kindergarden art class. I'm guessing by the way these hinges were made that visit should be made sooner rather than later. Okay so while no product is flawless Pelican had a very good product, the 910 and should have built on that very product which given the raw materials available, would be easy…well should have been. The 915 while having improvements such as extra storage capacity, weight reduction, using foam verses rubber inserts to reduce vibration and retaining that snug fit, a better latch system may just suffer from a badly designed hinge and only over use and time will anyone be able to tell how the 915 case will hold up or last. I like where the 915 is headed, thus 4 Stars as it is… but just remember it's not built like a 1620 case or their better cases but for what it is, it works until it doesn't.

Great Case! Ignore the old reviews from back in 2012!
Ever since I purchased my first DSLR camera back in 2009, I've always had an issue with trying to properly protect and store my SD Memory Cards from the elements and even from myself. When I say myself, I mean that through the years, I'd find myself losing an SD card or misplacing one by accident. I've found that it's easier to protect and keep track of my SD Cards by keeping them all in one place. Makes sense, right? Instead of just putting them in random pockets, zippers, or other storage places? This is why I purchased several Pelican 0915 SD Memory Card Protective Cases! I purchased my first two Pelican 0915 SD Card cases back in November 2012 from Amazon and with my ever growing number of SD cards, I found myself purchasing another one just recently, in January 2014. A lot of the reviews on Amazon seem a bit dismal about the product, basically saying that it's a bad design, it doesn't hold the cards correctly, that the old design was better etc.. But honestly, after using this case for the past 3 years or so, those reviews sound like gibberish to me. These cases have held up to their Pelican name brand and I'm glad I made the investment and purchased them. From the reviews on Amazon back in 2012 to now, it looks like Pelican made a few adjustments to the case. The latch to open the case now has a groove on it for easy opening and I feel like the inner liner holds the cards better than before. Now, they don't fall out of their particular slots. Storing 12 SD cards in one case may seem like a bit much, but you don't really have to store 12 SD cards in the case. When I didn't have more than 12 cards, I would designate one side of the Pelican case for "Empty/Formatted Cards" and the other side would be designated for "Used Cards." One thing I would recommend would be to put your name on the case just in case you're working with other photographers. You never want to mix up your equipment with anyone else's! As you can see from the picture, I actually put a sticker with my name, website, e-mail address, and phone number on it. All in all, I would say that the Pelican 0915 SD card case would be a great addition to your gear especially if you wanted to protect your cards and keep track of them all in one place!

High Capacity Case With Great Protection for Your SD Cards
This is a solid case for SD cards. I've used a number of the larger Pelican cases and have found the quality to be excellent. As a testament to how tough Pelican gear is, I've relied on Pelican cases to keep expensive camera and video equipment safe on some pretty wild multi-day whitewater rafting expeditions in the Idaho wilderness. My equipment stayed dry and free of sand for several trips which is saying something. These SD card cases are of similar quality. They are if anything over-built for the task. The hinge and clasp are heavy duty and the protective foam is cut out perfectly to hod my cards securely. The polycarbonate case is thick and comes with an O-ring seal to keep water and contaminants out.The cards are easy to access, the labels can be read easily and I'm confident they will be well protected. It holds 12 SD cards, 6 mini SD cards and 6 micro SD cards which is more than I ever need to carry. The only draw back I see is the cases are a little larger that some of the aluminum and plastic card "wallets" that I have in my collection. If you're really short on space in your camera bag or vest, that may be an issue for you. That's the trade off for a much more robust case. Overall, a very nice SD card case and well worth the money to protect your expensive cards and priceless memories.

Great case
I use this to carry extra SD cards with my camera and to store them while at home. I appreciate having a safe and easy-to-find place to keep them! This case is sturdy but not too bulky. Pelican is up to its usual quality with its case. I agree with past reviewers that the slots for the SD cards seem designed to cause you to put your finger on the contacts when taking the SD cards out of the case. To avoid this, you can pry the SD cards out of their slots from the side instead of using the groove for this purpose - that way you don't touch the metal. Or, you can just turn the case upside down! Then the grooves for SD card removal are at the bottom of the cards and it's not an issue. I've had this case for 6 months and have taken it out and about whenever I bring my camera, including when I travel. (I'm an enthusiast but not a professional - to help you gauge frequency of use.) When I'm not using my camera, the case stores my SD cards at home. It's worked great so far and I would recommend it to anyone else who needed an easy and safe way to store and transport SD cards.

Top-notch SD card storage for the photographer on the go
This a small product, but a good one from a great company. Bought this Pelican 0915 Black SD Memory Card Protective Case as a replacement for another hard case from another company that had been a gift. This one holds up to twelve SD/SDHC/SDXC cards in a convenient layout so that you can see which card you need. Lift one of the SD cards and you'll find additional space underneath for six miniSD cards on one side and and six microSD cards on the other. It has a grey closed cell foam insert liner that's designed to absorb shock and protect the memory cards, and it has a sturdy water-resistant polycarbonate housing with a water resistant seal. The key to this is that it keeps all of your SD-series memory cards in one place so that they don't get lost. Measuring about 4.79"L x 2.25"W x 0.55"D, it's slim enough to fit into about any camera bag with ease. Not noted on the product page, Pelican offers a lifetime guarantee on these, and they are a good way to protect your investment in memory cards. Highly recommended for anyone using SD memory with their cameras. JW ▪ 4/15/2014

Safe and secure storage
Almost perfect method of storage for memory cards, only 9/10 because the space for SD cards is very tight and the cards keep coming out of the SD moulds. Hoping the moulds may stretch with use.

Very High Quality.
I have several Pelican Products and this one is no different from the rest. Extremely high quality. If you have a requirement for a fair number of SD cards, this is a good solution, though it comes at a price. What I like, is that it's large enough that you don't lose it in your bag like some other types of card holders. It's also slim enough that it fits just about anywhere in any of my camera bags. Being waterproof resistant means that I can also store it in an outside pocket if needed :-)
