Where are the Grillinator Boys? Out Gillin, Chillin and taking care of customers!!
Update: 12/3/18Talked to Shawn at Grillinator 11/29/18, he called to inform me that they had switched to a new system and had not been receiving emails or phone calls for the last 2-3 weeks. He appreciated my negative review since it clued them in on the issue that they did't even know that they had. He searched me down via my previous orders. They had no idea that customers could not get a hold of them. The Grillin and Chillin Boys are still out there taking care of customers and honoring their Lifetime Warranty on their firewood totes. New one arrived today and looks great. Can't wait to get it back to my dad since winter seems to have set in earlier than normal this year.Shout out to the Grillin and Chillin Boys. You have a lifetime customer here and I will be passing the good word around to the other grilling aficionados that I know.RobertOriginal Review: Over the last couple of years I have purchased a few of your Firewood totes for myself and family members. Purchased my first one in November of 2016, from Amazon. Liked it so much and my Dad liked it so much I bought another one for myself and one for him in December 2016, directly from the Grillinator website. My brother bought a house, that had a fireplace, I purchased him one as well in December of 2017 from Amazon. I have also purchased a couple pairs of the bear claws. We all really enjoy the totes and look forward to using them in the future. My Dad went to use his for the first time of the year and it was falling apart. Not just falling apart but practically disintegrating as it sat there. Plastic rods stick out, canvas turned to dust, seams worn thru. It was in great shape when he put his fireplace stuff up for the year and now it's just falling apart. It was stored in a shed for the summer on a shelf and not in sunlight or other elements. Not sure what happened to it, seems as if some of the other reviews regard how some of them have dry rotted in the past. Here is where the frustration comes in. I have tried to call the Grillinators, (210) 446-7334. It goes to voicemail and no returned call after leaving a message. An email to [email protected] comes back as not able to be delivered. Email to [email protected] comes back as not able to be delivered. An email to [email protected] will go thru but no responses as of yet. Calls to (512) 782-4433, rings and states that no one is available.Hate to call in on the lifetime warranty but this is not the quality I have come to expect from the other products I have purchased. If you offer a lifetime warranty there needs to be a way to contact to make a claim or to get a hold of someone there to make future purchases.

Grillinator tote
This is my second season using this to move firewood into house. I had looked at metal stands to hold wood and tools but I like how this contains all the bark and kindling pieces & keeps the hearth area cleaner. Fits perfect on my 13-1/2 hearth. It will carry a pretty good load. It's proved durable with regular seasonal use. Dries out pretty quickly if you get some snowy pieces. Easy enough to wipe it out and clean it up. I haven't used it for anything else but it is a good sized tote. Probably not good for hauling heavy stuff any long distance since the handles are too short to really get it on your shoulder if it's full, but I expected that.

For Wood Carrying People, By Wood Carrying People
While we have forced air, we heat a majority of the winter with wood. Our former wood carrying bag was an extra-large reusable IKEA bag. Having slowly watched it degrade to more of a net than a bag due to the number of tears and holes I went in search of a new bag. As I read the it description it was clear that the company founders has carried a lot of wood. Can leave a mess inside? Yes. Tough to stand outside and load saggy bags off the woodpile? Yes. Painful handles diggings into your hands as you carry a full bag? Yes. I experience every one of these problems, every day. While I saw other cheaper bags for sale that looked similar, I went for this bag because I felt I was understood as a wood carrying person. Some might call it good marketing, I call it an expert level appreciation of what it's like to heat with wood. The bag arrived and it looked simple enough in it's transparent plastic packaging. I wondered, will this be as good as I am hoping? Upon first use I knew I had made the right decision. This bag is clearly a grand champion among a host of challengers. It's well balanced (I didn't even know that this was important -- but it is) and oh so easy on the hands. The coated canvas is extremely thick and durable. Without regularly dragging it across concrete, I don't know how you could put a hole in it. I'm thrilled. Stop your search now and order one, you won't be disappointed. I have actually taken my own advice and ordered a second as a xmas gift for my in-laws who also heat with wood. Totes 6 Stars! Great job on a great bag!

is really about the limit of what can be comfortably carried. When the Maine winter sets in
We purchased the Grillinator Ultimate Firewood Log Carrier in December 2015, based upon the advertised heavy duty construction, self standing feature, and lifetime warranty. The carrier does appear very well constructed, with use of heavy fabric throughout including the integrated wrap around handle straps, which encircle the bag giving a very strong connection. Nylon rods incorporated into the upper rim provide the self standing feature, allowing for easier loading of firewood, while also keeping bark debris contained. And it has a generous holding capacity, and when fully loaded with heavy split oak, is really about the limit of what can be comfortably carried. When the Maine winter sets in, we then rely exclusively on wood for our heat. The Grillinator log carrier gets a lot of daily use lugging oak and maple in from the wood pile. Unfortunately, after just a few weeks of use, the nylon rods began to poke through the taped seams at one top corner, and stitching began to pull apart along the corner seam. The bag was still usable, but it would not likely have lasted much longer. I contacted Grillinator regarding this issue, and they replaced the bag. They asked us to submit photos of the failure/problem area, but otherwise stood behind their product 100% with superior customer service, shipping a replacement bag quickly. The replacement bag finished out the the season, and has no problems so far this season. For those who haul wood for the occasional fire, or use the bag for grilling or picnic tote, it probably would last a lifetime. For our situation, I doubt the Grillinator carrier would last a lifetime. Given the reasonable cost would consider 4-5 seasons of use a very good value.
