This light cost more that others I've seen. Why is that?

Hi there. The Aurora LightPad Mini is very bright and allows you flexibility while using the light. For light therapy, distance matters. Other cheaper units are 10,000 LUX at 6-12 inches. The Aurora LightPad Mini is 10,000 LUX at 25 inches. Because of the longer distance, we use ultra bright, white LED bulbs. These stronger bulbs are more expensive. We don't provide the cheapest unit, but we do provide a very high-quality, highly effective light therapy box. I hope this information helps.

Each brightness setting emits 10,000 LUX at a different distance. The highest setting is 10,000 LUX at 25 inches. The medium setting is 10,000 LUX at 18 inches. The lowest setting is 10,000 LUX at 12 inches.
