Silicone Oil

I have used SUPER LUBE products for the last 14+ years and have had great results with their greases and lube oils... excellent products that work as their suppose to, to help parts live longer. If you're "new" to the Super Lube brand... don't be shy and get yourself some.. they really work in the ways they designed and intended to perform in. They are all very easy to use, no objectionable odor, versatile in many applications and the bottle size of this particular Silicone Lube Oil is quite sufficient to last a long time, depending of course whether it's for home or commercial shop use.

Used this a first to a lubricant at first for my polaroids, though I think it runs a bit TOO much for that usage & it just gets everywhere. Though as a regular lubricant for other stuff it'll work wonderfully.

If you know that your particular application can and should use a silicone oil, this is probably a good product, but in certain applications it makes it worse. I originally bought this as I had some super lube grease (fantastic stuff!) which - as far as I understand - is supposed to be used on any and all plastic or rubber parts. "Normal" oil and grease is petroleum based which could degrade said plastic/rubber parts. (Specifically, O-rings.) I applied this oil to a squeaky plastic light switch and it made it toggle so much nicer. It clicks on and off beautifully. I then applied it to another plastic part, the pushing rod that opens and adjusts the blinds in my apartment, and it made it way squeakier and 'sticky' - there is lots more stiction and it does the 'stick slip' stuff now. It's terrible, I wish I never applied it. Also, unlike petroleum based oils, you can't clean it out with acetone; I believe silicone oil is more or less permanent. The product probably works great if you know for a fact that it will work with your application, but if not, beware!

Used it on a thermal label printer that labels kept sticking to the rubber roller. Works well.

This lubricant is superior, ít has a nozzle to use for tight spaces it's quiet and I used it for a specific Lego vaccum engine project I have been perfecting for 2.5 yrs+ and with no lube it can get to 19000 rpm and when the lube was on I can easily tell that it now can go 24000 rpm+. My engine used a supercharger but didn't sound like it at all, it sounded like a jet engine at full throttle. Overall, I think this lube is a huge step up for my project and I plan on getting some gear grease for the mesh gears too.

I’m using this to lube my 3d printer. It’s much easier than fiddling with the tiny tubes from Bambu Labs.

It just works. Use it for both my 3d printer and Airsoft Replicias.

Have used this on numerous occasions on to help loosen stubborn fittings on parts of hobby model kits/collectables made of various different plastic types with no issues/odd reactions to this point. Little bit can go a long way, and some hot water and soap seems to clear things up nicely enough even if you do accidentally add too much or accidentally spill a bit.

Just like my other lube review, if you buy the right kind it will do its job. This is thick silicone oil, its meant for specific things, for example airsoft o-rings, other lubes may not work as well for other uses
