I grew up on many of these classic systems/games throughout the 80's and 90's. As much as I love modern games today, you cannot beat the games from our childhood days, the nostalgia of playing those certain games, you loved playing as a kid. For me, games like Disney's Aladdin and Moonwalker on the Megadrive, I have fond memories of playing for hours on end. Those two are just some of the gems of yesteryear, on this retro system. You get two PS2 style controllers and a HDMI lead. You also get a composite AV lead. The system has over 800 games, as you get a mini sd card already inside it, with over 40 PS1 games on it, which is a nice bonus. Some people have mentioned that the Megadrive games don't play with any sound to them. But like other's have said, if you hook this system up to your TV via the composite AV lead, then they all play with sound. ANBERNIC really have made a great box of nostalgia with this system and at a very reasonable price, for all the hours of games on this. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this system. It certainly brings back happy memories. If you love Megadrive/NES/SNES/Master System or any of the handhelds like, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance etc... then I guarantee you won't be disappointed in this very nostalgic box of gaming, it's just a joy to play. Definitely puts the F back in fun, where these games are concerned. They certainly don't make games like these anymore, and I applaud any company like ANBERNIC, who are keeping our past heritage of games alive, with retro boxes like these. It gives many future generations of families and their kids, that chance to play some really nice gems of titles, today and tomorrow. I highly recommend this system to any person who loves games for what they are, pure FUN in a box!

Arrived today plug in and it came to life,I started browsing only to realise that the 800 games are not 800 different games as many are duplicates on different platforms,I’ve edited my review regarding no sound on sega titles as after removing hdmi and reverting to the supplied anologue leads using the tv Avi channel the sound has returned no thanks to seller who told me to change my tv

Well. Was not expecting a great deal from this however for 80 pounds its fabulous.Loads of games to choose from. Easy to use once you get the gist of it. Very easy to set up. I have now figured out how to save a game and exit a game (press select and start simultaneously on the controller and it brings up a menu)A few negativesNo wireless controllersInstructions only show set up not how to save a game etc so in my opinion a little incompleteThe controller keeps sticking and affecting game play which I will be sending a message to the seller about in due courseOther than the above it's a nice little item that will.provide lots of entertainment. My 6 year old boy absolutely loves it and I love the 2 player facility as well.Best thing ive bought in a while

The great thing about this console is that as well as being able to load extra games onto it by Micro SD card,there is the ability to save any game at any point you want.The graphics are clear and the console boots up very quickly. It is very easy to use and comes with two controllers.I had a problem with the Micro SD card but the seller resolved this by sending me another one postage free.Good customer service and responds well to emails. I've had other retro consoles but this is easily the best and so far, after five months, very reliable.

Have this few months now personally its great I have not even got through all games no lag atall all classic games are there and play smooth 2 player options aswell and can save the game which is very handy arcade games turtles to the snes all the Mario games . to driver 2 on ps1 which currently playing is very good I upgraded to wireless controller works great I read some reviews about games and sound with the hfmi lead..... I used my own hdmi lead sound works with my own hdmi great buy highly recommend ......

I was very pleased with this console at first - you can add your own games on an SD card (as "ROMs") and the majority that I tried worked, including Playstation ones. However .......you cannot save Playstation game progress, which limits the enjoyment since a lot of games expect a memory card and this console doesn't emulate one. Also I tried to use other USB controllers and USB adapters with Playstation controllers but couldn't find any that mapped the buttons correctly. So you'll have problems if your controllers wear out and you want to replace them.

FOR LITTLE MORE THAN ONE FULL PRICE GAME YOU CAN BUY THIS COMPLETE SYSTEM WITH ENOUGH GOOD GAMES TO KEEP YOU PLAYING FOR A VERT ,VERY LONG TIME .I MUST ADMIT I WAS SCEPTICAL YOU APPEAR TO GET SO MUCH FOR SUCH A LOW PURCHASE PRICE BUT I'M VERY IMPRESSED. IF YOU'RE NOT SURE JUST LOOK AT THE COST OF SOME OF THE FRANKLY DIRE COMPILATIONS OF OLD GAMES YOU CAN BUY FOR THE PS4 & XBOX ONE (ATARI SPRINGS TO MIND )AND THEN COMPARE IT TO THE COST , QUALITY AND DEPTH OF THE SYSTEM AND GAMES (,WHICH YOU CAN ADD TO) ON THIS CONSOLE.NO CONTEST.

I was very hesitant to order an emulator with games,I did research and I choose this. The HDMI was a selling point,as well as the ability to save games.Easy to setup, plugged it in and it worked great. I loved the old games and more older arcade games that come with the card,I am very happy with the purchase. The scary thing is how little storage a lot of my childhood needs nowadays.
