Building Ship Models: Patterns and Instructions for a Clipper Ship and a Whaler

The authors do an admirable job in this book. It has many very useful tips and ideas for building a wood ship model. This book comes with plans for a Clipper ship and a Whaler. This is a great book for any wood modeler's library.

Great book

Since the book describes building ship models using moulds rather than copying the 'old way' using spars and planking I am not very pleased with this book. The included plans and also the many illustrations and sketches make the book slightly useful never the less.

This was a gift for my son who fell in love with sailing during a visit to the east coast. He enjoys models so thought this might give him some ideas for building a model. He did and put a motor in it and now sails it in the lakes out west and thinks of us. Well worth it and made me a great gift giver!
