Great As a Replacement for an Older Bike
Had an older Cannondale that had Shimano Sora shifters that wore out. Didn't want to spend a lot of money on the bike, so these fit the bill perfectly. I have to say, I love how they shift, they are precise and easy to use and have an oh so satisfying click when you shift gears. They are mostly made of plastic, so not sure about the longevity, but still a great option if you need a low cost replacement.

Work great with Avid BB-7 Road.
It is hard to justify spending so much for totally beat-up Ultegras, just to get a 9-spd shifter.Like someone else said, these seemed to be too good to be true -- but they work great!Design-wise, they are a little bulky. Nevertheless, they feel sturdy in the hand. The upshift seems normal and quick. Downshift is a little abrupt, but that might be my adjustment. The pivot axis is subtly off-axis, which means the levers pull slightly to the outside of the bar. -- this is a good thing because it avoid pinching your fingers. The shifters are actuated independently from the brakes.I'm using these with Avid BB-7 Road disc brakes. I think the axis helps get the adjustment right without an inline tension screw.I do not have a derailleur in the front, so I cannot comment on the front shifting.I'm running a shimano derailleur not listed on the official compatibility page. (can't remember right now) 9-spd Deore.I'm super happy that I got them.

Pretty good.
it’s ok. Definitely gets you back on the road. I was hoping the lever itself shifted with the little paddle shifting the other way but there’s actually two paddles on each shifter. Obviously not nearly as nice as my ultegra but I don’t ride as much anymore so it does the job.

2nd pair
The media could not be loaded. 1st pair lasted a whopping 3 years. Thats over 33,000 miles.thats really good compared to Shimano Dura-ace that lasts me maybe 1-1/2 years. I actually thought that that was the "norm" for STI shifters until I put these on. Not only are they 1/4 the price they last almost 3x longer. Wow. The only thing is us that they "click" when shifting and its definetly loud but hey I usually wear ear buds so I dont hear it to often. Recomend these, YES! INDEED. Like I said I'm on my 2nd pair and they get installed the same way Anyother STI shifers get put on. U just have to buy new brake cable (and or housing) and Handlebar tape.I'll definetly buy again & again.I also buy thier wheel hubs which are good too. I think they might have bought out American Classic company because thier hubs are almost identical to the American Classic hubs that I build ALL MY WHEELS with.

stay away from! shimano sora shifters will be a better option.
you pay for what you get. cheap plastic used all around housing scratches easily and cracked in half on a modest descent. not only will i lose time off my bike, but i lose more time repairing and rectifying the situation. less than 30 days of use.

Good value, good shifting.
I used a set of these with Ultegra 6500 derailleurs for a basic road build. They don’t have quite the slick, refined feel of equivalent Shimano items, but shifting is accurate and reliable, and the levers appear to be of good quality, with solid, comfortable operation. There are few nine speed options out there these days, but these are worthy of serious consideration.

Great engineering!
The design of these shifters are excellent. The ease and ability to shift and simply click to any gear is genius! Also I like the downward slope for the shifter cables , this makes for a very clean look overall. Great quality product, I installed them and have used them on the road. Thank you!
