Amazon Basics Spray Mop, 1 Mop & 1 Reusable Microfiber Cloth, Blue & White

We previously had a steam mop, which did a great job but was quite heavy so when it broke I thought I'd give a spray mop a try. This is good value for money, much cheaper than the Flash type and I like being able to fill the bottle with whatever I like.I have tried Method cleaner which smells divine but goes down quickly, and am now using Ecover concentrated cleaner which lasts for ages as you only mix a tiny bit with water. I may also try some vinegar, water and essential oil concoction at some point.The mop bottle is a good size so you don't need to refill it too often and it is so quick to grab the mop to sort out the odd spill or muddy pawprint. No filling buckets or emptying dirty water out and it doesn't take up much space. The head is very swivelly and quite narrow so it gets behind the toilet easily.The cloths stick on easily and you can just pull them off and chuck them in the laundry basket or washing machine. I bought a pack of spares so that I can change the cloth frequently, which helps to avoid smeary floors. You might still need to get down on the floor and use some elbow grease to tackle any dried on old stains, but overall I'm very happy with it.

Having owned a couple of steam floor cleaners I have decided that they are not for me. They are always heavy in the mop head and can become difficult to control.So I have been looking for a low tech alternative for a while and decided to give this one a go.Out of the box you’ll have three parts to slot and lock together, a bottle for the cleaning solution and a microfibre pad. The assembly is straight forward and once assembled it feels solid enough. You just need to put your favourite cleaner in the bottle and slot it in to the mop. I used hot water from the tap when mixing the cleaning solution. The bottle itself holds enough solution to do quite a large area. I managed to mop the ground floor of a three bedroom house and the bathroom with solution to spare. As with all microfibre mops, it pays to sweep/hoover before mopping otherwise you end up with the dreaded banks of wet detritus at the extremes of your mopped surface.It’s easy to push the mop around and the head swivels allowing access to the various contours of the floor. Just spray away and mop.Once finished you can disengage the bottle and discard any unused solution. I found that taking the bottle out causes the cleaning solution to trickle from the bottle in to the mop head. So if like me you like to store the mop in a cupboard you may find that the accumulated solution drips out and causes a mess.For this reason I am awarding four stars, a real shame as I would have awarded the maximum.Happy shopping.

Product is very low quality. Had a different brand before, but this one after a few uses jusr falls apart. White plastic pieces falling off and the steel pipe is very weak and already has bend. Would not recommend

i live in a house with five cats, a teenage brother, and a couple other people who don’t know how to take their bloody shoes off or eat in the dining room so as you can imagine I’m constantly mopping up spills and whatnot, and it’s a nightmare lugging round the old mop and bucket. So when I saw this I was like “you know what, it’s cheap enough I may aswell try it.” I’m so glad I did! It’s easy to assemble, so easy that you don’t need instructions at all. It’s easy to use and takes much less time to properly clean your floors with and bonus, your not wasting as much water as you would with the classic mop and bucket! I love it, it’s made things much easier for me! I would recommend buying an extra cloth or two so you can always have one handy whilst the others are being washed.

For how much it is you should get more pads the pad goes very stiff after a few uses. The spray is jammed

Just as good can be purchased for a similar price in discount stores it iwent for convenience
