How many balls of yarn should I order to crochet a medium size blanket?

This is not a simple answer I'm afraid. The amount of yarn depends on lots of things eg. What stitch you are using, size of hook, the gauge/tension at which you crochet and the actual measurements of your finished item. The best thing for you to do is crochet a Swatch in your chosen stitch and yarn measure how big it is and work out how many of those would fit inside the finished size of your blanket. eg if it was a 10cm by 10cm Swatch and you wanted a blanket that was 150cm by 150cm your swatch would fit 225 times. Then weigh the Swatch eg. the Swatch weighs 3g. You then multiply the weight of the swatch by the qty you worked out previously for this example it would be 3g x 225 = 675g you will roughly needed to complete the project. This yarn comes in 100g balls so in this example you would need an estimated 7 balls. It's not an exact science but it gives you a bit of a clue and I would always advise ordering a bit extra just in case! Hope that's helpful 😃
