Echo Dot (3rd Gen) Plum Bundle with TP-Link simple set up smart plug

I bought this combo for my parents for Christmas. My mother is blind, and she spends all day by herself at home while my dad's at work, so I thought she could benefit from something voice activated that could assist her in her every day activities. I am so glad I did, because after a short period of time, my poor dad connected his first smart home device, and now they both love the Echo Dot 3rd Gen! My mother and I are now able to call each other through the devices (I have four), and she and my dad are discovering new skills for the both of them to enjoy. I'm very pleased with the quality of sound the calls placed with it produce, and I will definitely be sending out more units as time goes by. My mom loves the recipes.com skill cuz she no longer has to mess with trying to find the timer on the stove. Instead she asks Alexa to set her timers.

I love this Echo Dot while it has to be plugged in and you can buy a portable charger for them, the smart speaker works well! I tell Alexa good morning and she tells me the time date , news, daily possitibity and weather. you can program her for all sorts of routines. she can look up recipes, make lists and even plays games apon request. we have one upstairs and one downstairs and we can play music on both at the same time. it also has a feature called away mode so if she hears glass breaking or smoke alarms go off she will send and alert to your phone. also with 2 echo dots you canuse them like walky talkies and announce when dinners done where ever alexa is active in the house

Couldn't decide what to get my 15 year old granddaughter for Christmas this year. Then I saw this 3rd generation DOT on Amazon that included a voice controlled switch to control her beside lamp for an outstanding sale price. Way to go Amazon! She loves her music. I got her a set of headphones from Amazon for her Birthday and she loved those, so why not a great sounding speaker for the privacy of her own room. She tells Alexa to turn on the light (or off) when she enters or leaves her room, tells Alexa what music she wants to listen to, even tells Alexa to set the volume level from one to ten depending on whether her parents are home or not. :) Great gift idea and I got the credit! Perf4ct!

I bought my second Echo dot and got the new generation. It is a little bigger and covered in a plum colored cloth that is nice to look at. The speaker is much louder and music and alarms sound better. Heck for the price everyone should have one of these. The microphone can be turned on and off easily if your worried about the NSA listening in on your conversation. LOL!

Love my Alexa. What can I say it has everything I need. Allows me to drop in on my son when he gets in from school, wakes him up for school and allows him to call me when he gets home cause he has no cell phone. My husband loves to listen to music and connects it to his JBL box when he wants a studio sound. I love to control it from my phone and announce on all my devices when I'm on the way home or if I have something for them to do. My twins live listening to pinkfong songs on Alexa. Overall it's fun for the whole family

I love this little gem of a helper. I've added a smart plug to control my bedroom light and plan to add more. The tasks it can perform are amazing. It even barks like a dogs to entertain my fubabies.Only problem is after all the time I spent training it to MY voice, it will accept commands from my ex husband and my roommate and I DON'T have a male sounding voice. They think its hilarious but I don't. Not safe when combined with smart home things like locks and security systems!!

What can I say I think everyone knows what the Echo are for. They work just fine. I do not play music I got them for listening to audio books in my office and kitchen when am cooking. And I like the plum color.

Alexa devices are becoming more and more important with my Smart Home lifestyle, and the 3rd gen Echo Dot is the best for yet. The plum color was requested by my sister (An Apple employee) as a potential Christmas preset. I bought her two so she could pair them for music streaming. She loves them!
