I will say I have always said products like this are a scam. I have tried a couple different products and could never really tell a difference in performance, idling, starting etc. I've been fighting with a 2-stroke outboard for a few weekends. I rebuilt carbs with new OEM carburetor kits. And I went back into them twice and could find nothing dirty or wrong. I cleaned passages with carb cleaning tools, not just spray or air pressure. I did all I could and still had rough idle and intermittent stalling.I had heard about this sta-bil product and thought for the price I'd try. I mixed accordingly and went and ran the boat around the lake for about 15 minutes. Got home, put it away and didn't think about it until the next weekend. Took it out the following Saturday, again, not really thinking about it. After idling out of the canal and then back in it dawned on me, no stalling, no lean sneeze, just a perfect idling engine. I don't know how I couldn't have got those carbs clean, and I don't know what this stuff is that got what I somehow missed, but I'm sold on this green magical mechanic in a can.I then told a neighbor about it who had just purchased a used boat with a motor that had not run in many months. It started and ran but not well. He bought some and mixed accordingly and his motor, after a few days, runs smooth as can be without him having to go into the carbs at all. That sold me again.Side note, I only run non-eth in my 2 stroke motors so can't comment on its fight against ethanol problems.

I don't usually right reviews but I had to on this product. I have an old JD lawn tractor that requires a carb cleaning every couple years. It starts to surge letting me know it's time. I took a shot with this product. I followed the directions and before the recommended 15 minute run time the old JD was purring again. Needless to say I purchased more to have on hand.

A lot of whiners about this product. They let their equipment freeze up due to neglect then expect miracles. The ads might be over stated, granted, but hey, don't they all? I use this for stubborn starting chainsaws--I add a little to the gas and I don't have to break my back trying to get them started. It is a life saver (I have a bad back and a shoulder replacement). I am amazed at how easily they start with a little of this in the gas. I always have a bottle with me when I cut.

This was a last ditch effort to avoid a new carb on my mower. Half this bottle in 5 gallons of gas, and running the mower for 10 minutes, poof, i'll be darned, the engine surging was gone. purrs like a kitten again. I would have bet the old ladies life it would not have been that easy.

This stuff works great, for a couple of years I've had to start my lawn mower with starting fluid after running a tank full of gas using this product it now starts on the second pull without starting fluid, also my tiller has run rough for a couple of years also and now it runs smooth as it did when new

I've used this on rough running engines. It works like a charm. Was hesitant using it on my ECHO weed cutter because of the oil/gas mixture. It started right up. Rather than replace the carburetor, try this first. I used about a 1/2 teaspoon directly to the gas.

Noticed a small improvement in engine performance with the first use. Hopefully use of the produce over time will lead to increased engine performance.
