I'm so glad I ordered this kit! Everything including tools came in the box. The instructions provided little help for assembling or troubleshooting. However you could easily find videos on youtube to assist step by step (strongly recommend). Check for compatibility, follow the directions and be gentle to avoid unnecessary damage (true story). If the lights doesn't work once you reconnect the battery, recheck all connections to make sure they're inserted/connected correctly. Especially the smaller side of the black cable. You may have to flip the cable as it doesn't mention this in the youtube video. A little frustrating at first but we'll worth it. Hope this helps! All in all the visuals are amazing, even in the daylight. Once you master the color scheme you got yourself a good time. Purchasing another kit for the second PS4 controller as well as my kids PS5 controllers.

There were no clear instructions. Just pictures with vague (SP?) instructions. Ended up breaking the plastic piece that transfers the light to the bar that the camera picks up because it did not come off as easy as the vague (SP?) instructions implied. Also the PS button gets stuck in the down position so my controller kept connecting and disconnecting from the PS4 until the battery died and now can't charge at all. Even if it does get enough of a charge in it it will turn the PS4 on and connect and disconnect over and over until it does die again, which is not very long so I don't even use that controller anymore.

this is a bit of work to install and a little pricy but it is worth it. one of the issues with this is that if you plug in any of the cords wrong it will not work. this is a tutorial I followed NOT BY ME. just search rgb ps4 and it is the first result by dammit jeff(you do not need the tools he uses just uses the ones in the kit like I did)

The media could not be loaded. So i bought two different versions this one and a cheaper one. This one is by far worth the money. The only con is that the connectors wouldn't fit the connectors in my off brand controller, but buying one of their shells would give the ability to customize a sony brand controllers appearance (so next time I'll do that). It has settings to change the color and can change each different section a different color, can also turn it off, and it turns off with the controller. The cheaper version i bought worked on the off brand controller but had wires to be soldered on (this one had no soldering evolved) and just stayed on all the time changing color to the slightest movement, turns off in 15 seconds also doesn't have the trigger lights that this ine has. So by far this version is the way to go. I'm a 28 year old mom with no knowledge of anything like this and was able to install it with little struggle and totally happy and in love and will be buying more from this seller in the future!

The media could not be loaded. So I just received this item today. I have to say that the installation part of it was a little bit frustrating, however the video on YouTube was a huge help. So far I've been using this for roughly an hour and so far so good. I like that you can have all the colors on an interval setup. Or if you want you can make each individual section all a different color. IE: The D-pad can be blue and the the other buttons can be green if that's how you want it. I currently have it set up so all buttons change colors. I think that for the price it doesn't get much better than this. Now I did install them in an original Sony controller. So I am not sure if they will work properly in say a 3rd party controller. I'd definitely recommend this product. Everything came nicely package and it also came with extra screws as well. And of course all of the tools needed to dismantle your controller and install the lights are included. If you use the YouTube video to help you, you may notice a few things. 1. The setup in the video shows extra wires attached to the joysticks. The kit I received did not have the extra wire but it still works as described. 2. In the video you will be recommended to use double sided tape on a certain section, I however did not have double sided tape so I used regular scotch tape and it worked without an issue. 👌Update: So I'm changing this rating from a 5 star to 3 because I've had this item for 3 days before the right analog lights went out. I've taken the controller apart and tried moving wires and to no luck did this solve my issue. The other lights are still working so I guess it is what it is. 😏

ive been wanting this for a LONG TIME and when i finally got it i was so excited! it even came with its own tool kit that i use for anything game related! the lights are real pretty ESPECIALLY when you have a black controller! wallet hurts however 🤣but there were a few concerns i had. because the instructions showed it had this extra hoops on wires thing to go under the analogue sticks but the actual thing didnt. so i start panicking that i somehow got a broken one or (for some reason) that my controller model was the problem. BUT when i set it up it apparently lit under the analogue sticks perfectly fine without those hoops. so i think the instructions is a bit outdated. but my biggest concern was the cable connecting to the battery. the first one that connects to the LED was perfectly fine to plug in. fit like a glove. but for some reason connecting the led to the main controller power port DIDNT FIT. it would go half way and stop. i got terrified if it was just a bit of force i needed or if i would BREAK the power port of my BRAND NEW CONTROLLER. however when i decided "screw it" and tried it out with the port still half connected it worked no problem. at all. as if it had plugged in fine. idk if its just mine or if thats how their built. but hey it works! its just a lot of STRESS.

Couldn’t even remove a single screw from the controller and now it’s stripped so I have to get tools to remove the stripped screw. Thanks a lot

As you can see, it looks like I expected, however there is 2 issues. The first one is obvious as you can't install the share and options button because in the controller they are moldedin the unit. I guess you can break them, but I do not tke the risk.The other one is that you have to take the control pad unit part, take it out of the touch pad and install it on the supplied one. Since it is fragile, you don't want to break it, I heat it up with a hair dryer, so the glue get soft, took it out and install it on the new touch pad. Heat up again to make sure it will stay in place.There was no instruction on how to do it.The replacement unit for the touch pad can be found on the net for about 10$ but you don't want to do spend more money!If anyone have a solution for the options and share buttons, please let me know. Controller is JDM-055, Sony Dualshock 4 (2nd gen).I kept looking and found a video of Extremerate on how to install the share and options button. It is time consuming, but the result is good and working buttons. A word of advice, take your time and cut it little at time, try, until it is perfect.
