Grave Before Shave puts out fantastic products. This beard balm really hydrates and restores your beard to full health. I highly recommend this to any man growing their beard out and struggling. This balm helps hydrate, restore and deliver much needed nutrients to your beard. I think that this product is a game changer, it really helped me a lot and I think every man should have a can of this. Don't waste your time with other brands, I did and I threw my money away when trying them. Grave Before Shave is the brand you want, trust me, I know because I tried. A few quick hints to helping manage your beard. Comb & Brush: Don't slack on this, it can make a huge difference. One mistake I made early on was only combing, buy yourself a nice brush and comb to match your beard. Wash: Wash your beard with shampoo and conditioner 1 - 2 times per week, not more. Don't dry it out. Trim: I get my beard trimmed up by a professional barber once a month. Some people say this is too long but when I am trying to grow length I find barbers are too eager to trim.

While it smells good the oil and butter bay rum smells so much better. Must be the wax in the product or something to make the fragrance different. Sometimes I'll put some oil on after but it does make it almost too greasy feeling because the oil doesn't really absorb after the balm as well. I really like the smell though. Hold is not the best for a balm but I love the bay rum smell. It does make your beard shiny and the hold lasts for a few hours. Does a good job making beard softer and moisturizing the skin underneath.

I've tried at least a dozen beard oils (I've got a lot of free time) and I have to say this is the best. It adds just enough hold to keep my beard from it's usual frizzy style, which is pretty much the "I just fell face first into a light socket" look. It smells great, very fruit meets beach meets coconut meets woman attractant. My lady loves it and it's the only beard balm I've used where I've woken up and she's hovering over me trying to catch a whiff downwind of the fan. It's not overly greasy by any means. The consistency is awesome, it's not gritty like some beard balms and you don't have to stick your hand in the oven to get it to melt to a usable lather. The 2 ounce jar lasts me about a month and I've got a fairly long (6-7 inch) beard. I wouldn't say I use it sparingly either. Usually I apply at least two dabs the size of the portion in my attached picture. I'm going to start switching to the 4oz containers because I'm not shaving or switching brands anytime soon.
