My girlfriend wanted this because the water is hard on her skin. So after looking around, I landed on this and committed to buying. It arrived today. Installation took 5 minutes and no tools. The shower head is very light and feels like metal. The hose seems to be decent. There was already a filter in the head and comes with an extra. If the gasket and screen falls out, fear not, just put screen and 1 gasket back in. I have no leaks.I didn't put much stock into the quality of shower water. But I like a good shower. This shower gets you soaked quickly. The water stream is so fine, it almost feels like a carbonated shower. Its kinda hard to explain, but if you are wanting a more massage-style shower, that makes you feel clean without soap(use the soap though lol), get this.

The spray is very fine coming out of the shower head, I just love it! it has 3 settings which is perfect. It was so easy to install, I just took off the old shower head from the hose and screwed this one on. I saved the hose that came with this one, just in case I need it in the future. But after 3 months it's holding up great. And i can tell the filter is working well, as before I installed this (an my reason for purchasing a filter shower head) my hair would start to feel gross even after shampooing, from all the buildup of minerals or whatever was coming out of my unfiltered shower head. My fine hair has never felt cleaner since using this one! Bonus - it looks good too, doesn't look cheap. two thumbs up!

My shower water is very high mineral, so much that my shampoo wouldn’t lather. Hair and skin were drying out. I rent, so I like that this was easy to install and inexpensive. My hair is softer and skin is better. I do wish that there were more/softer settings, all 3 are pretty high pressure. I like the face of it, but sometimes a single stream will shoot out in an odd direction until I run my finger over it to fix it. The picture I took is the original filter after 90 days (left) vs a new filter (right). So how long the filters last will depend on the quality of your water. The filters are very easy to replace.

This shower head was EXACTLY what I was looking for. No other shower head comes close, even luxurious expensive ones, over $100. I’m rather afraid of “jinxing” it by writing this review but I’ll update if my current opinion is challenged.I have severely sensitive skin prone to rashes eczema dry yet oily skin, cysts/boils, redness, the whole nine yards.. so my goal is one that alleviates my skin through softening or filtering my hard water.You can check out on ewg exactly what is in your hard water of your current area so you know what your shower head filter needs to be able to filter out. Upon reading in depth I found this shower head filters all that I needed.. I hadn’t come across one shower head that filtered every metal or mineral in my water but this stayed it did.I’m a bit skeptic of everything because I’ve tried so many things and have gotten inconsistent quality in Amazon products. So when I received my order I wanted to make sure that my shower head and filter were brand new. There have been times where I’ve bought shower heads off amazon or even other sites and they were clearly USED, which is disgusting. And worse, one filter had dead fleas when I opened up my package. I freaked out so bad.. Anyways, where I made my mistake was upon trying to unscrew the Pure Action shower head to check the filter. The front part, the face plate where the water comes out came undone instead. That part unfortunately is easier to unscrew so don’t hold on to that area when you’re trying to unscrew the handle from the grey body which is where the filter is located. Be careful! Once that was unscrewed, no matter how tight I tried to screw the front of the shower head/face plate it wouldn’t close the gap completely and the front streams a little leak of water when turned on but it’s okay since that water would have already been filtered. But I can’t bring myself to return or get a new one. I’ve loved this shower head so much and honestly it was my honest mistake that made it leak slightly at the front. I’m thankful that at least this product was most definitely brand new and unused. Thank goodness!Overall the showerhead is fantastic. It’s light, not sturdy that it’s unbreakable but it does exactly what I need it to. Must I say my skin seems relieved already after a week? My hair is also not weighed down by buildup from hard water. It’s actually softer!Im actually thinking of investing in another shower head for trips. Maybe one without the handle so it’s easier and faster to attach. I wish I knew about this product before when my hair and skin were dying in college because of the hard water in the dorms!

While the filters seem to do good, go full metal. The hose will, but the head will not make it five years (or longer). Don’t be cheap on this, spend the money and use for life.Final update: What I thought was a nice metal hose cracked and broke with no impetus and revealed chrome painted plastic. I had to replace the filter multiple times because it filled up with its own paint (see photos). This did not last me anywhere near as long as it should have. Save yourself- get something that is actually metal. If you need a filter, maybe a berkey or something is what I should have gone with. I regret this purchase.
