I love the bright colors of the enameled steel and the weight is nice and heavy, however the spoon rests are a bit short for most utensils. Maybe 6" long and hard to hold larger utensils for stirring large pots.

Not balanced. The part where the handle rests on weighs almost as much as the base so when a cooking utensil is placed in it, 9 times out of 10, it tips back.

I didn't know you could love a spoon rest, but apparently I've arrived at that level of adulthood. This spoon rest is great. It's strong and durable and definitely easy to clean (I've gotten all sorts of food on this baby and it cleans right up). It's also nice looking and for the price, I was quite impressed by its quality.It's a good size and works for every kind of utensil, but in all honesty, I use it mostly to hold a tea spoon by the electric kettle. Of course, that wasn't what I intended when purchasing, but we make a lot of tea in this household and if I used a different spoon every time, I'd run out of spoons daily. Having this spoon rest makes it feel a little more tidy. :)

Ditto on Dan's review from March 10. This looks great, but if you put anything heavier than a plastic spoon, it tips over. Completely useless IMO. Returning.

This spoon rest is heavy, sturdy and is easy to clean. Glad I took a chance and bought it, love the color black as it matches the other things in my kitchen.I bought this with my own money and wanted to share that I'd recommend it.

Very sturdy spoon rest, made of cast iron. I like that it is coated to protect from rust - I use it to hold wet teabags and tea bag tongs on my desk. The non slip coating on the bottom helps to protect my desk. Perfect for my application and also makes a good addition to my office collection of iron knickknacks.

This item is absolutely impressive, it's the Maserati of spoon trays. The construction is HEAVY, easy to clean with a very classy look. No longer does the wife complain about my coffee stained spoon tray. Why? With the color, I can still get away with cleaning it when I want, she can't tell. My life has become a little easier, the complaint dept has slowed down and I think some of my hair is coming back. Get this!!!!

Looks just like the picture... but it is smaller than I imagined. It doesn't seem to tip with the majority of my spoons... but if you were to set it down quickly I wouldn't be to sure. The pad on the bottom is a nice touch that I appreciate. Overall, I kept it because I couldn't find a larger cast iron spoon rest on the market. I have broken two ceramic ones in the last year, and metal ones are usually slidy hence why I wanted cast iron.
