Sploofy V3 Personal Air Filter (Black)

The Sploofy V3 is absolutely amazing and a must buy! The V3 has improved massively over the V2 (which was great anyway) and now allows you to keep the same external plastic shell, replacing only the inner filter, meaning less waste but it still provides the same fantastic filtering! If you have the Spoofly V2 and are considering upgrading, I would highly recommend it, just keep in mind it is ever so slightly larger to accommodate for the replaceable filters, but you will save money in the long run. Unlike some of the competitors, the Sploofy has little to no resistance when blowing air through it which makes it a pleasure to use and it truly does filter out any unwanted smells.

If you don't want to bother housemates, neighbours, or apparatchik with strong herbal scents, this feels ideal. Other methods I've tried over the years are patchy and unreliable. This'll visibly soak up a lung full and, although my own nose is pretty insensitive, seems to soak up 99% of the smell. You need to make sure you have a well sealed lip lock or there can be a little leakage, and the mouth piece could probably do with a minor re-design to make that less of a worry, but it's a minimal issue. Can't speak for the life of the filters as of yet. Worth getting if you want the peace of mind. For the particular purposes it's more useful than my room fan filter.

This filter really works as advertised. It takes a little practice to make a deal around the mouthpiece. There is 95% less smoke in the room. Clothes smell fresh after being in a room of smokers. What’s left is easily covered with air freshener products. This first filter will only last a week of all hours smoking, more if used lightly of an evening, months probably.

I like the design and concept of it all. It works great for filtering out smoke and does exactly what it says it does. My only problem with it is that it doesn't hide the smell that great or my dad has the nose of a hell hound!

Honestly if your looking at purchasing this think why? Is it essential. It’s a well made piece of kit, but it does take away from the chilled vibes, when your constantly blowing into a tube. If you can, ignore others and just enjoy your down time, smoke without. But if it will eliminate some anxiety due to smell, it’s def worth a purchase.

This is a great idea, the filter works very well cleaning the smoke. However, it gets dirty very quickly and you need to buy a new thing again, while it is quite pricy. I wish I could buy cheaper replacement hepa filters or that it was not as costly.

Great for reducing the amount of smoke when exhaling and also great for removing smell. I didn't think this would work so well, if you wish to remove 100% of the smoke I would recommend a smokeless ashtray to pair with the Sploofy.

This is my second sploofy, best type of air/smoke purifier by far. The ONLY thing I don't like is that I can't find replacement filters on amazon that don't take 3 months to ship. Leading me to repurchasing this product, but hey, it works well and I smoke everyday. Lasts about a month or so.

This is now my 6th Sploofy replacement cartridge since changing from the Smoke Buddy. My roommate and I share 1 Sploofy and it has done its job. It is well worth spending the money on a 3 pack instead of a single filter. The estimated 300-400 uses is generous; it varies on frequency and how many exhales you do at a time. We have noticed they last about 3-4 weeks with daily use. The trick is to form a good seal with the mouthpiece and to fully exhale, or you will have some smoke escape. The round mouthpiece is much more efficient and comfortable than the rectangular one of the Smoke Buddy. (And much less wasteful over time, as the SB is about $20-30 each at local smoke shops and can’t be cleaned or reused) My car and our apartment don’t smell and the discarded filters show how much resin is trapped. Overall I am pleased with the Sploofy compared to the Eco420 and Smoke Buddy which do not seem to have the same quality or last as long. We have tried using dryer sheets, cheesecloth, and coffee filters to try to extend the life of the inner filter but they block the smoke and cause it to leak when used. Every week we take it apart and clean the plastic case to remove resin buildup and reduce lingering odors. We have experienced 2 bad filters right out of the box. Smoke was leaking profusely and the odor was very strong. Amazon was able to replace them and all I needed to do was drop them off at Kohl’s to handle the return and shipping. This was on two separate incidents several months apart, so I am glad that Amazon can quickly resolve the issue. Update Feb 2020: We have received 2 faulty, leaky filters out of the box back to back. At this point we are keeping the less “stinky” of the two to use as we research a competitor’s brand. Unfortunately this is happening too often, not sure what is going on but the quality and odor proofing is not the same. We have had friends comment that they detect an odor for the first time since we started using the Sploofy, so it may be time for a change.

First off, I live alone in a modern apartment that doesn't condone any type of smoking. I don't live with my parents, and I don't have landlords checking on me regularly. I bought this because I used to just blow smoke out of my back window and I felt like that could easily travel through the windows of my neighbors and irritate them. This thing is fantastic! I originally got it thinking it would cut the smell in half, so I planned on using it between me and my window, however it works so well I can smoke from the comfort of my couch. If you just crack a window for safe measure, use a pipe, make sure not to leave the bowl smoking, and blow directly into the Sploofy, there's no smell to be concerned with. I've even blown through the Sploofy and immediately taken a few whiffs where the air comes out and there was nothing but a muted, barely smoky scent. I've been using it for a couple of weeks now and it does what it's meant to do. To address the comments complaining about smoke coming out of the sides due to a bad mouth-piece, I really don't get where that's coming from. Your mouth can make more than one shape lol. I thought you were supposed to put your lips on the hole, but it felt awkward and smoke did come out of the sides. If you purse your lips more like you're whistling (or like you would when exhaling from a joint), and press the Sploofy against the skin around your mouth, you get a solid seal and it does it's job. I don't see a problem there. All in all: if you're in a dorm room, or have landlords/parents checking on you, this may not cut it unless you're willing to take additional steps like opening a window and using subtle scents. If you're living in an apartment and want to relax in the comfort of your own home, but edibles and vapes aren't cutting it, this is the way to go. I highly recommend it!

Prior to using this item, the smell was so strong I either had to smoke outside or in the garage. Now I can smoke in my bedroom and no one smells anything the next day in the room. This is a game changer, and quite frankly I was surprised.

Recently, at 60 years old, I was feeling so disappointed in what has happened to the quality and craftsmanship of sooo many (too many) products. So many things purchased with a sigh. Man oh man. Then I purchase this product and I feel like singing. It is so clear to me that whomever made this product loves it and has pride and integrity around it. It is so nicely built - simple and strong - comfortable for the mouth - works exactly as promised - is excellently priced - and they even give the (important) tip of letting moisture evaporate so as to enable longer last to the filter - which already has approx 300 uses. Thank you Sploofy makers! Interesting to me that another product that is supremely made also relates to the the cannabis industry and that is Ariser!! Their products also carry pride and integrity with them. Very very pleased with this product!! Faith in humanity being restored!!!
