Digitally remastered two CD set containing a pair of the Chicago rockers' albums, originally released in 1977 and 1990 albums. The Grand Illusion was a US Top Ten album with the song 'Come Sail Away' a Top Ten hit. Edge Of The Century was the first to feature new member Glen Burtnik, and the last with drummer John Panozzo. The single 'Show Me The Way' was a US Top 3 hit. Slipcased with new notes.

Finally, 2 solid remasters!
I’m still sitting patiently for proper Styx remasters, but this is close! I have the previous release of Equinox and Crystal Ball, and that one blows me away. The collection does the same! Solid sound and nicely split on to 2 discs. You may ask, why The Grand Illusion and Edge of the Century and not something like Pieces Of Eight? It’s simple, it covers two completely different eras of Styx. These two albums are personal favorites from my all time favorite band. They sound magnificent. My only con are the liner notes. It seems like someone that doesn’t know the band very well wrote it. I don’t need to hear about other favorites like REO Speedwagon and Foreigner in here. It gives us good details about the Grand Illusion, but barely touches Edge and instead rambles on about everything post Edge. Also, several typos and wrong info.Other than the notes, pick this up!! Hopefully this isn’t the last collection, because I could really use some Pieces of Eight and Cornerstone!

Absolutely awesome
It is hard to find a CD anymore, let alone a CD of an obscure rock band from the 70’s and 80’s. This was an amazing find and the remastered versions sound amazing.

Love the remastered version of Grand Illusion!!
Excellent upgrade of The Grand Illusion album by BGO records. I’ve been waiting a long time for this and it beat my expectations. All instruments can easily be discerned, I thought this was the biggest improvement over my original copy which sounds muddy compared to the new release. I agree with other reviewer that the liner notes contain some errors. I didn’t own Edge of the Century so can’t compare that one. I’m more a fan of their earlier releases but still happy to hear it and add to my collection.

Great remastering job!
Excellent and precise sound quality, A&M records should have done this years ago. Nice booklet with a short band bio at the end. I look forward to future products by this vendor.
