I got this for 9 year old basket ball loving son. He wanted a robot and this one has multiple options including mini Sports balls and buildable basket ball hoop in Basket bot. That was a major driving factor for him to build this robot. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. The pieces are made up of good quality plastic.My 9 year old needed some help coding but it is a good toy for Teens to practice coding skills.It requires a good amount of time and patience and is a good activity to keep older kids busy in something that helps brain building as well as creative coding learning skills.This is a perfect gift not only for older kids but also for adults to keep themselves engaged with some creative activity.Absolutely recommend it!

The instructions are phenominal! You put the app on your pad and it takes you through every step of the build one piece at a time. You can enlarge the image (step), or rotate it in any direction you want for better clarification.Once assembled, works great. Fun and educational as you can learn the basics of programming.

I have been looking for a product that would be fun for my kids and educational at the same time. It is not easy to find something that challenges and also engages older kids. My 11 year old daughter and 13 year old son both love this robotic kit. They built it together and now take turns at programming new actions using the IPad/iPhone and driving it throughout the house. It's fun seeing all the things they've come up with for the robot to do, including carrying a tennis ball and tossing it to our dog! This is a perfect product for older kids to learn on.

It has been hours of fun so far for my 11yr old. Only issue is that some of the parts are not as durable as they probably could be. It is creating some problems with the operation of the robot. Other than that it has been a great present so far.

The KIT is awesome. It really is! The app is frustrating as all get out. Thankfully we have several old phones laying around and found ONE that would support the app. All other phones and tablets wouldn't load it. I had to use the helpful reviews here to help me navigate the problems. This kit would be fun to build even without the app if the building instructions were in a book, but no; everything is app-based. If we hadn't found a decade old phone, this would have had to been returned. If you can find an old tablet or phone to run the app, it's pretty dang fun. This company seriously just needs to support the app! They have a winner of a kit, here.

My whole family loves this! As a computer science educator, I was maybe the most excited to get going with the Champbot, but my kids can't get enough. My 4-year-old is on the young side to do much of it himself, so we work together and make up little challenges and love watching the Champbot do its thing. My toddler daughter just loves to watch it move, and I can't wait to see how we work with it differently in the upcoming years. It's sturdy, easy to understand, and super duper fun.

6/5/23 Update.I did find a support email but never received an answer on getting an Andriod version of the app.I ended up doing it the hard way. I found the Jimu APK online after some searching. I downloaded it to our girls device and sideloaded it. That was frustrating at first since I had to grab a parents device and change the settings to allow 3rd party install of apps.Some trial and error I was able to get it loaded and so far our girl has been able to start assembling the robot. It can be a bit confusing so having a parent handy is a plus.-------You can buy the robot kit but the Jimu app is unavailable. The robot was bought as a gift for our 10yo birthday, She was so excited to open it and spend the afternoon with me building a robot. I spent the next 20 minutes trying to find the Jimu app. All I found was an app for one of their lesser kits or a bunch of 404, page missing. Maybe it has an Apple app but this should be stated in the description that they are not supporting Android.I can't find a support form on their website. I can't find much of anything about this robot on their website. Amazon's contact seller button takes you to a link that is supposed to go to support but is a form to become an affiliate partner.I will give it a day and then I am returning this.Pro1. Nice packaging.Con1. No app.2. No support contact.3. No explanation of why there is no Android app.4. Overpriced for a paperweight.

My 10 year old boys are both in Lego League and fell in love with building and programming. We found this UBTECH Robot and knew it would be something they could do at home. It is very user friendly and both fun and educational. Trying to find STEM projects they can do at home to keep them off of youtube and this was a total hit! I will definitely be ordering another robot for their Christmas gifts!!

Es un excelente regalo de cumpleaños pero solamente tiene app para Apple, así que hay que asegurar que tendrán como programar con un iPhone o ipad.
