Had to bend the heatsink fins back to insert memory on last row. I like how it looks with the blue fan. The heatsink fins are cool looking too but bending them to fit memory is not too big deal. My build is finished.

Dismiss other posts. Being a hardcore gamer, my cpu cooler broke and needed a temporary replacement. This is amazing for the price and is much better than any stock cooler. Recommended

Hot
When they say that this is for moderate to low cooling needs they mean it. I wanted to use this cooler because I hoped it would work as well as the stock cooler of my amd a10-5800k but after running the newly built system, I saw temps maxing out and the cpu beginning to throttle. I had not overclocked or done anything special to the cpu. I checked the cooler and it was warm to the touch. I switched to the stock amd cooler that comes with the cpu and the temps when down 30 degrees Celsius. I would return this for a refund but honestly isn't worth the hassle. This is fairly quiet even at full speed since it has no fan controller but you are honestly better off spending a little more and getting a product that's quiet and also can actually cool a modern cpu.

Constant Heat Issues
This was purchase as part of new gaming build for my son. It wasn't to be high end but the processor was decent enough that we opted for a little better cooling for the cpu. After months of struggling with random shut downs and crashes while fighting the heat build up my son and I finally swapped the fan back out for the standard OEM fan that came with the CPU. Simply amazing, the temp dropped 20C easy. The fan itself seems large enough to move enough air the shortcoming is the contact area of the heatsink. It is so small I'm not sure that it actually covers the entire CPU when locked into place. Even if it does there isn't enough material to move the heat up to the fins to dissipate. Save your money or put it towards a better cooling solution than this product.

Good Value Fan
Fan working as expected good value CPU cooler for the price !! My stock AMD Phenom II fan bearings started making noise so this cooler fit the bill nicely and is doing quite well.
