If your synth has the ability to program the pedal to activate the sequencer, then yes. It's just an on/off.

does it have an rubber, that it shouldn't slip away while using?

it actually has a foam back on the entire bottom. But I always carry a roll of Gaff tape in my gig bag. Depending on the type of surface you're playing on there's always the chance of slipping. This pedal is built like a tank though. It's way more sturdy than most pedals I've owned.

Can this be used to trigger drum hits in programs like Addictive drummer and what type of sensor is this using?

It's just a momentary switch with a regular 1/4" plug. The switch is on while you press the pedal, otherwise it's off. Whatever input you have it plugged into, the software will respond or not respond depending on the software. If your DAW responds to on/off, Addictive Drummer can be programmed to respond to it. I'm not sure what you mean by sensor, this is literally a switch.
