Flip Box - Collapsible Iceless Cooler

I got this cooler for a gift--I thought this would be a perfect cooler for off-roading in a side-by-side. I bought it using my phone, so I wasn't able to see the detail of the pictures very well...it turns out that the "Neopolen P" that the product is made of is a type of foam. While it does seem to be a durable material, it's not quite what I wanted--especially for off-roading. If I had known what it was made of, I would have spent the money on a different cooler.

I've had this iceless cooler for over a month now. It is fantastic. It is light, easy to use, and does exactly as advertised. My only regret is that I purchased the standard size and not the large. I also wish this cooler was deeper. I now live in Arizona. On weekends, we like to go hiking or visit other areas. In this hot heat (last weekend was 100 degrees), our cold drinks stayed cold from early morning when we left until the next morning. No complaints as it was hot. We were impressed that our bottles stayed cold for as long as they did. I highly recommend this product.

It keeps items cold as described. But the tabs on the side of mine broke! I was very disappointed. We can still use it but can't take it apart to put in dishwasher.

This seemed like a great product, but unfortunately it broke after the first use. Perhaps mine was defective, but I can't recommend it.

For frozen and frig foods. I use this all the time after grocery shopping. It is also great to pack for trips to the beach. Love it!

Every summer my pre-teen daughter plays on our city's girls soft ball team. And every year I lug around a large cooler, heavy with ice, to each of the games. Each time my daughter's team plays, they play 2 full games. We are literally at the field all evening. And if it's an away game, getting there and back, plus sitting through the 2 games makes it almost an all day trip. So we and the other parents all bring coolers for food and drinks. I take my own daughter plus two other girls on the team when I drive them to games, so I need to have supplies for a whole car full of people for the day.Most of the time I like to pack sandwiches and drinks. What I dislike about traditional coolers is needing ice, which ends up weighing more than the food even does and makes it difficult for me to carry. This Flip Box folding cooler is exactly what I need to replace our heavy traditional cooler. Now all I need is to fill this cooler up with food and cold drinks, instead of needing tons of ice as well. Then after everyone has eaten, we can throw away our trash and I can fold this cooler up and pop it in the trunk of my car and not have to deal with a huge bulky cooler filled with melted ice when I get home.Living in very northern Minnesota, in the winter our family does a lot of ice fishing. It takes an hour or two to get out to the lake (depending on which one we go to) and we like to try and take enough food for the day for the family when we go out. With this cooler, we can take warm foods along to help keep us toasty. It's so cold here (well below zero every day) that I like to throw a HeatMax Hot Hands Handwarmer into the Flip Box with the food to help keep the temperatures inside nice and toasty. The hand warmers produce heat for hours, and the insulation of this Flip Box keeps the heat inside.The design of this cooler is great, folding down flat for storage. About the only thing that could make it better is if there was some kind of latch on the folding lid that you could use to keep it closed. However I can see why one wasn't added, since it would probably ad bulk to the design (being made to fold down flat). I love this cooler so much my husband and I are taking it with us on our trip to Florida to sit on the beach for a week. This Flip Box folds will fit (folded up) into our large suitcase, and we will need one from bringing food and cold drinks out with us while sitting in the heat all day. We have found a million uses for this Flip Box!

I finally got a chance to test it in a real world situation where frozen items had to stay frozen in order to not have to eat them all immediately. I am talking Marie Callander's pot pies, several of them. It wasn't real warm today, but the trunk time ended up being a full 10 hours. I did not have a blue ice pack, so I used some frozen soup in a Tupperware as my freeze block. After 10 hours, the freeze block looked the same as when I had pulled it out of the freezer, and the pot pies were still hard as a rock. Huzzah! I don't have to die from a sodium overdose by eating them all. I will still knock it down a star as it is pricey, and some of the thermal bags out there also do a decent job. The box will probably be most useful when taking hot food over the river and through the woods, but you may find you need the biggest one for that, and it is definitely pricey at that size. Hopefully with the currency wars in full swing, this German import will be much cheaper in the near future.

This is a must have for ice fishing. Easy to take along with the rest of the gear since it is lightweight and compact when folded. We just threw it in our sled with our ice shanty and supplies. As we caught our Crappies and Perch, the Flip Box made an excellent chest to keep our fish in till we got home to clean them out and prepare them for eating.Just like it states, it is made of a VERY durable material - this by all means might look like painted Styrofoam but it is not. I attempted to dig my nail into it and make an indentation but I had no luck. Even comes with a 10-year warranty, so that tells you the manufacturer stands behind its product.If I could change one thing, it would be to have better carrying handles or slots since the opening it has is to small to grasp anything.
