Item is easy to install and seems to work as advertised, however, on the hinge side of a door on closing the loose edge ends up between the door and frame.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I purchased this to seal the gap between my interior sliding glass door and the exterior door caused by having a pet door. I replaced the hard seal that came with the pet door that would make a high pitched noise when opening and shutting. This is a much more flexible seal and it creates no noise. After one week it works perfectly and a 16 foot roll allows two applications if and when the original wears. Purchased white because I've seen other plastic materials yellow with age.

I've used door strips like this before from another company. I ordered this brand this time because of the length I needed, which was for the height of my door, not the width (and I didn't feel I needed to buy an absurdly long roll either).I ordered it in white because I needed something to cover a gap between my bedroom door and the doorway. Even when the door is closed, the light comes through this gap and it appears partially open, which drives me insane. I need to sleep in the daytime, and that makes it even worse because I'm extremely sensitive to light while trying to sleep.I put a strip of this in the place needed, and it immediately began to fall off the door from the top! The adhesive is like a joke! It is incredibly weak- like the most basic craft type of double sided tape. But even worse maybe is that, despite the adhesion be SO poor, it managed to remove bits of paint with it! I ended up putting a piece of nano tape on it and reapplying the top part.The strip itself is extremely flexible. That would be good if I was using it for weather striping and needed to have it touch the wall when opening the door (although i dont see how it wouldnt just fall off from the pressure and super weak adhesion).. However, my need was to block the light. Does not!!! Even though it is white, it has the same effect as if I had ordered the transparent kind. After the strip was applied, I cut a 2nd one and applied it on TOP of the 1st. Then, I used the remaining piece (half the length of my door) and applied a 3rd layer on the top half of the door, where the most light comes in. Closed the door again and there is the light, still coming through. I have no lights shining directly at my door, and keep any lights in the house much dimmer than the average home. This should not have been a problem!So that was a total waste of money, and now I have to buy more from a different brand.The only pros I can see to this are the flexibility and the ease of cutting, as it is quite thin. But you will want to add your own adhesive!

Didnt work that great for me and I dont know if it was the surface or what, I cleaned everthing beforee I applied but it came off after a month

Very good product. Stays in place. Great for filling those gaps in storm doors to keep cold weather and bugs out. Easy to install.

Works great seals well around a doorway.Draft free from outside air and seals from bugs coming from underneath the door.
