Great function and value, not always an easy install though.
Overall I give this product a five for function. It is a good lock and well worth the cost. As far as it being easy to install that depends on the application I suppose. In my case I am using it for a shelf which has a hidden compartment that drops down. In this application lining up the latch with the holding mechanism is super tricky because the angle at which the compartment closes has to be accounted for and itโs not just a matter of simple math but rather a lot of trial and error and really small micro adjustments until you get it exactly right. When you finally get it right it works like a charm and is worth the effort. The other issues I had was that only 1 of the 4 cards that came with the pair of locks was able to be programmed. All of the key fobs worked though so it wasnโt an issue. The one recommendation I would give to the manufacturer would be to make the wire lead longer on the lock. It was too short to be of any use in my application. There was simply not enough wire to extend it anywhere that would have made it accessible once the shelf is locked. Had it been 6 inches longer I could have extended it to a place where it would have been accessible and concealed. Not a knock on the product just an idea to make it more usable for more applications. Like I said before I still have to give it five stars based on function and overall value.

A Secure, Invisible, and High-Tech Solution.
This is a fantastic and incredibly practical solution for hidden cabinet security. Its standout feature is the RFID technology, which allows the lock to be completely invisible from the outside while being very easy to use, making it a perfect idea for a clean, modern look. The functionality is top-tier; the ability to program one single key card to open multiple locks is a huge convenience, and the build quality of the metal latch feels solid and secure. It offers excellent value for money, performing flawlessly by reading the card right through a thick wooden cabinet door. The installation is straightforward, thanks to the included template, which ensures a perfect fit between the lock and the latch. The initial adhesive strength of the included double-sided tape is surprisingly strong, holding the components securely in place during setup and alignment. A crucial and very thoughtful feature is the low battery alert, which provides ample warning before you'd ever be locked out, adding to its reliable durability and ease of use. For anyone wanting a secure, invisible, and high-tech locking system for their cabinets, this is an outstanding choice.

4 stars- Programming Instructions Explanation Below
I really like the hidden nature of these locks. When we hosted our sonโs friends from college over spring break we wanted to ensure the โgood stuffโ didnโt end up being chased with a white claw and needed to lock these swinging cabinets. We are overall happy with the final product except the left cabinet lock lags a bit. The locks wonโt lock unless you wait until you hear the lock reset before closing the door again. As you can see from the video, the left one takes a little longer. Just enough to be annoying. DUAL MODE Also the instructions were TERRIBLE. For those (like my husband) who are ready throw these things out the door because you cannot get more than 1 FOB/card to program at a time itโs likely because you thought the dual mode was for two locks to share the same cards. Thatโs not it. The dual mode allows one card (the manager) to open the lock by itself. For any other card, two cards (a service card and a guest card) must be swiped one after the other before it will open. Think of it like a bank vault. The owner of the bank can get in the vault by himself. (Itโs his money.) Any other employee needs to be monitored. Usually you have the person who is โin chargeโ of accessing the money (the service card) BUT they need another person (doesnโt matter who) to be present for the vault to open (any guest card can be used) to ensure they are not stealing. Usually this mode is only used for commercial applications. If you set the lock in dual mode the first card you program will be the mgt card. The second, the service card. The third plus any other card will be set as a guest card. SINGLE MODE Most people will use single mode. For the single mode the first card will be the manager card (the ๐ master key). It can be used to give access to any other key. Once the manager card has been set, to add another card just swipe the manager card and then immediately any other card you want to program (you can do multiple cards in one go). Really simple. NO MIDDLE BAR IN CABINET We donโt have a normal set up with a bar in the middle of the cabinets so we had to improvise a bit. The templates that can with the set didnโt fit out use case. So I just set the lock pin first, put a command strip on the lock, put the lock on the lock pin, shut the door, and used a key to unlock it. The command strip will give you a pretty good estimate of where you need to put the locking mechanism. Pretty quick setup that way. A good tip is to make sure the cords are facing the correct way. They do tend to get caught so you may want to tape them down while you install. As a note, we only needed to lock two of these cabinets but wanted the option for the others to appear to be locked. Given that we are dealing with teens and these can be cost prohibitive, we just bought these for the good stuff. For the other cabinets we just used the baby locks that use a maginet to open them. We will let the teens think that they are all locked with these nifty cards instead of the maginet on the fridge. ๐คฃ

Works well once installed
Installing this lock was not straightforward or necessarily easy. Being mechanical minded and having some construction experience helped. I installed it on a swing outward cabinet door. As such, I could not see the location of the mating pieces. The template dimensions are shown in just some numbers. (I presume they were metric in millimeters but I'm not sure and did not confirm.) I ended up allowing for the door thickness, folding the template on the provided lines, and holding the template up and marking the approximate location of the inside latch assembly. Then, using internal measurements of the cabinet I located the electronic lock housing and mounted it to the door. The screws provided were very good, sharp self-tapping wood screws that I screwed into the solid red oak cabinet door and wall with just a hand-held screwdriver. In the end, I have to put a slight upward pressure to open the door or to ensure it latches. But, I consider this a little added security. The RFID reader and cards/fobs work well with no issues and programming them was straightforward as described in the installation instructions. I can recommend this lock, but be forewarned about the installation difficulty.

Electronic lock
Third purchase of these locks. They work great! They're durable and fit perfectly with any project for added security. Programming wasn't difficult and electronic locks are compatible with both card and fob access.

Difficult to install in drawers
This lock appears to do what itโs supposed to do. My big problem is the installation. Itโs probably easier to install on a door but installing it on a drawer was a nightmare that took an hour and fifteen minutes. The placement guides are no use on a drawer since you canโt mark the screw holes with the drawer closed. The first time, I didnโt realize the drawer had to go back in at suck an angle that I would have to install the lock with the drawer in the desk. Then I realized I didnโt leave enough space to account for the gap between the side of the drawer and the desk so the pieces didnโt line up. On the third try, I left too much space. I decided to try moving the piece that attaches to the drawer since I wasnโt having any luck with the piece that attaches to the desk. I put the sticky stuff on the back, locked it with the other piece, closed the drawer hard, and unlocked it to see if that would hold it in whatever place it needed to be. The double sided tape that was included wasnโt strong enough. I attached it to the other piece again and tried to mark where to line it up. Now I realized the height was off and I had no way to eyeball that so I started trying some trial and error. I donโt think itโs optimally lined up as the drawer is difficult to open and close but it does open and close and I think thatโs as good as Iโm going to get. The USB cable appears pointless. Thereโs no way to lock the drawer and leave space for it to hang out even if the cord were long enough.

Fancy Stray Cat Houses-No Bullies, Racoons or Possums Allowed!
This does exactly what it says it does. Super easy to program cards... It's almost so simple it's complicated. lol. If you mess up while programming, just reset and start over. I actually got this and 1 other to use for outdoor pet house to allow one cat in and not let in the bully cat that's been running around or the racoons or possums. So far it has kept the bully cat out. The racoon & possum haven't tried yet but I am hopeful! Also, it has been working fine in 10 degree weather. The cards do seem to work a bit better than the tags but both work and it programmed to all cards that came with this one and the 4 cards I received with the other . It works better if you line up tag to the right spot.... try teaching a cat how to do that! lol Great purchase! Especially for the price! And, it can be plugged in so I don't have to worry about forgetting batteries!

Hard to install, LOCKS when batteries low/die
Update 1-30-2025. After contacting the manufacturer, and repeatedly trying different techniques to get them to open, the locks kept us from our cabinet contents for over a month! Finally had to break into them, then have the cabinets repaired, and repainted. HUNDREDS of DOLLARS worth FAR MORE than these CHEAP PIECES OF @%$@#$% ..... What's worse, even as cheap as these were, the seller/manufacturer essentially e-shrugged, and said sorry, nothing more we can do to help. So, given the worthless support and the eventual failure of these, I'm reducing my rating to a ONE-STAR ... since zero stars are not available! (As a replacement, I've switched to magnetic locks -- MAGNETS cannot fail, and am very happy with our new system of securing our liquor and medicine cabinets.) --- ORIGINAL REVIEW --- Really wanted to give this a 5-star as the concept is great. First though, you should know that it's REALLY difficult to install. My carpenter and I worked for hours each time, installing a few of these to get them right. There's no way to adjust the two pieces to line them up better once the screws are drilled - so plan and drill CAREFULLY, but it's still very difficult. Second, once they're installed and working, I actually would absolutely give them five stars -- and would have probably given them 4-stars because of the installation time, that is -- until the batteries started running low after a few months. At this point, with two units now, the batteries must be low, as they are making a ticking sound, but remain locked & WILL NOT open with the RFID card!!! Will it eventually open? I don't know!!! Don't really want to destroy my custom cabinets trying to open them. How long before I decide just to destroy the lock and rip it open? Again, I don't know but the cost of fixing once torn open will be far more than the cost of these units!!! Hence, the two-star. Gets one star for the concept, and one for working well for a few months, but am really regretting getting these now. The invisibility is great, but if they fail to work right ... VERY frustrating!

Nothing wrong with this
Works great as advertised. Comes with a lot of cards and tags and double sided tape pads which were great for setting it up. I bought 2 and I am happy.

Not sure
Hi Im not sure that I have recieved the exact item I purchased, I payed $85.00, for what I wanted and saw this exact same item for $29.00 on your website, I ordered the more expensive one, and to be honest this lock is pretty flimsy and not made from sturdy materials for what I want to lock away, so I dont think its the model that I actually purchased

Fussy to install but works
It took a couple of tries to get the mounting screws in the right place but it works quite well. (Mine is installed behind 1/2" plywood) Not a lot of range for the prox so you do have to place the card in the exact right spot. Mine may be a newer version as there is no reset button. The hole is there but no button so when programming the cards/fobs it's just a matter of presenting the management card first then the other card/fobs in quick succession. Good value for the price.
