Great Tool
I bought this to reshape and thin guitar necks for better playability. This thing will remove some wood when you put it to work. Saved a lot of time. Much quicker than a traditional file.

Nice woodworking tool.
I was very pleased with the tool. Easily removed wood desired. Good size. Like the corse and fine teeth. My grandson was impressed with how it helped with our woodworking project(s).

Best rasp on the planet!
I am a pipe organ builder by trade and do more wood working in a day than most people have seen in a lifetime! This is the best rasp ever invented! Easy to control rough and fine any wood I have ever put it through. .. even exotics! Who ever invented this should win the Nobel rasp prize! Literally the only rasp I will ever use again! So if you are on the fence about buying this... get off the fence and get on your phone and buy it!

Must have for any woodworking shop.
This is a must have in any woodworking shop. It is great for removing a lot of wood in a hurry. I use it for rounding corners, smoothing edges ....

Highly recommend!
It works quite well but its not as rigid as it needs to be. Its first use was making a handle out of a hickory sapling for a rouge hoe head. I needed a file brush to un clog it since the wood is not fully dried out. Second use was fitting a purchased handle to a hammer, made the job super fast and easy. Now onto the issues. using the file with force to rapidly shape and remove material the file would distort and bend because it needs a couple more pins and a outer frame. Second issue is the head of the file eats your skin up, its a natural spot to grab!

Turn solid wood into dust in seconds!!! IT'S JAPANESE MAGIC!!!
I would like to start by saying that I have never heard of, nor seen, anything like this before in my life. That is before I started watching Ben Crowe on YouTube. I have worked as a woodworker, metalworker, and other trades so I am not new to tools or forming material. This thing, and yes it is a thing, is amazing! If you work wood in any way that requires you to remove material to make curves, the kind that a saw is not going to help with. The kind that every woodworker dreads because it is going to take grinding away with a rasp or flap wheel, for hours, or what can seem like days! I bought this because A) it was cheap and B) I saw someone on YouTube use it and say it worked great. I have owned this for about a month, and I will defend it with reckless abandon! What would take a couple hours with a rasp, takes a few minutes for this to finish. Plus in addition to being able to make A LOT of sawdust VERY quickly, it has two sides, one is course and one is fine. The course will hog out wood QUICK, please pay attention it will go beyond where you wanted to stop before you realize it, and the other side is fine to smooth out the wood and make finishing a breeze. So, basically, BUY THE DAMN THING! You will not regret it, nor will you regert it! You may even hang it on a plaque on the wall.

This does what I thought I wanted a rasp for.
Amazing. I'm getting more and more into woodworking these last few years but I only recently learned about this type of saw file. I'd been trying to use a rasp when this tool is far superior. This is exactly what I wish a rasp was. I actually do more woodworking now that I have this wonderful tool.
