This is the coolest thing ever!
As a grandparent, it's not easy bending over for long periods of time helping my six-month-old grandson learn to walk. The Juppy Baby Walker not only solves that problem, my grandson thinks it's an absolute hoot! He laughs and laughs when we lift him up just enough for his little feet to dangle off the ground. He starts moving his feet like he's doing a jig, and it's just hilarious to watch. We practiced walking our own kids from a very early age, and both of them walked at 9 months. It was easier when I was in my 20s, not so in my 50s, which is why the Juppy Baby Walker is a back saver this time around.I'm not sure why some of these reviewers said this thing was poorly made. I disagree. The fabric is strong and the garment appears to be well-constructed with good cross stitching where the straps connect. It's easy to get my grandson in and out by myself, not any more difficult than putting on a pair of pants on his squiggly body. The straps are comfortable for me to handle, and it works for my husband, too. We bought one for our kids to have at home with our grandson, but they keep forgetting to put it in the diaper bag when they visit so I'm buying another one for here. And if you're having trouble trying to explain what the Juppy Baby Walker looks like, I found the best way to describe our new-found baby gadget is to tell people it looks like lederhosen! Totally adorable and absolutely functional! It will be on my gift list for all future baby showers I'm asked to attend.

Great product for special needs preschooler
Great product for special needs kiddos!Let me start by saying that (a) I really bought this product, as opposed to being given a free sample, and (b) I wasn't too sure I'd like it at all. I should also note that I don't usually take the time to write reviews, so I definitely think that this product is worthwhile for special needs children (I've not tried it with my typically developing little guy yet).I purchased the Juppy for my 3.5 year old daughter, who is not yet walking independently and is severely developmentally delayed. We love it!We use it at mostly at clinic PT with my daughter's very clever therapist, who came up with the idea of using the Juppy with and without knee immobilizers and adjustable ropes. This allows my daughter to learn to stand independently and play while strengthening her legs. We use many positions and different types of equipment with it (benches, barrels, etc.) as needed. Honestly, we use it very seldom at home, but that is because we don't have ropes yet and I don't have enough hands to hold the Juppy up as well as position my daughter's legs. I'm sure use of the knee immobilizers would help with that. This product would work wonders if used daily, I imagine.Pros:- Quality product, well made- Soft fabric- Easy to use, nothing to assemble- Presumably washable (I haven't tried that yet)- Extremely portable and easy to pack- Inexpensive, especially compared to other special-needs productsCons:- Almost too small for my daughter, which is why I only gave it 4 stars, but I knew it would be small when I purchased it. It would be fantastic if this company could make some larger sizes for special needs kiddos - there is a huge need and market for this type of lower-cost, effective product. All in all, my daughter loves it and is benefiting from it! The Juppy was a great find. Thanks!

I got this for my 2. 5 year old ...
I got this for my 2.5 year old and put it on her as soon as I got it, she LOVES it! The upside is that it is a lot easier on your back but the downside is that it is killer on your arms. I don't mind though because I can use the work out!

Don't expect it to last
Pros:looks nice if you don't ever plan to washCons:cheap quality, unsown after only 1 wash, no manufactured where tags, no material tags, not for short or tall people. Don't expect it to last.I usually don't write reviews but wanted to let other mothers know what to expect. After much research over the safety of traditional walkers I finally settled on the juppy. When received package was surprised by the cheap packaging for product. It looked like one of those cheap Chinese imitations with no box. I look for a manufactured where tag and no surprise couldn't find one. No tag even mentioning the material. There is only a 1inch tag that reads JUPPY and the other side says allow machine wash gentle cycle only. Being a germaphobe for my newborn I wash everything before he uses. I wash the juppy by itself in gentle cold water cycle and boy was I surprised when got item out. The soft fabric looked like an overused piece of clothing. It was becoming unsown from the sides making me wonder of future safety. I hung to airdry since didn't want item to get more damaged in dryer. The traveling bag on the other hand looked like new after the wash. First thing my boy does is put straps in his mouth making me thankful I washed at least. As 5'4 height was fine, but for my husband at 6'1 the juppy barely was comfortable. No way this item is for very short or tall people beyond 6'1. As of yet I don't know if this is a cheap Chinese imitation or Juppy just makes low quality items. I'll be lucky if this item lasts any more washes so at $30 this item is a dud. Since item is opened and washed I cannot return to amazon. I would never buy this as as a gift for anyone or recommend.

String assistance to walking
Useful if child is almost walking and n Ed just bit extra help. Helps with aleveiating back pain. straps do ride into armpit areas and kid does lean forward with some unease as parent.

Straps nearly choke baby and the Juppy is too short for him.
I've tried to make this work, but it doesn't. My son is 18 months and learning to walk. The Juppy straps often twist and tangle while I'm holding them and he's walking. The torso of The Juppy is too short for his size. It might work better for a tiny baby. I was really hoping this would work since my son is taking so long to walk and wants to hold our hands and walk all day. I will probably try Walking Wings next and see if those work better for his size. I sure hope the straps don't get in the way!
