Totally cool, and totally too small.
Yeah, I said it. Too small. It offers a huge amount of storage space in a tiny tiny package (most folks don't even realize it's a fully functional USB stick), but I really wish it were actually just a bit bigger. I lost this thing while coming home from work (I think?) and even though I retraced my steps and asked at the lost and found of the grocery store, was never able to recover it. It's my own fault for losing it, I guess, but if it were just a bit bigger there might have been better attachment options, and I might have noticed its absence sooner. I'm still haunted by thoughts of what data I left on there and what the finder might be doing with that data, whatever it was. Hopefully it was too small for people to notice and it just got run over or washed into the storm drain. I'll never know!On the good side, I adopted using KeePass as a precaution and changed all my passwords to unique and incomprehensible gobbledegook (not that they were on this drive, necessarily, but just in case).I have since switched to the Kensington DT-SE9 drive for my keychain, which has a solid aluminum body and a giant hole at one end for keychain attachment. It's not going anywhere! The downside is that it only has 16GB capacity, but them's the breaks.

I really do like this flash drive... I really do...
This little guy is the perfect size. What that really means is it is almost non-existent. For a few more years before everything is truly digital a near microscopic flash drive will still be handy. The size is perfect. However, this morning I went out to my car to grab my headphones, and I saw a little purple piece of plastic. My USB drive broke off my key ring. So the plastic isn't as durable as it could be.I'm going to go ahead and Gorilla Glue the Tuff N Tiny to an even small piece an actual key that I will trim down to fit the flash drive. That way it will be a little more durable, without adding any noticeable bulk.I still completely recommend the Tuff N Tiny, but pay attention to it in your pockets and what not.And to Verbatim, I would really recommend making it more durable. A good alternative for me would be to make it a really small metal carabiner so I can take it off my keychain easily when it is in my laptop.

Tiny but slow
The great think about this drive is it's size. You can carry 32GB around in your wallet or on your keychain and hardly notice that it's there. The drive is indeed tough and tiny. Mine survived a trip through the washer and dryer without problems. However, access speed is not very great. I did direct comparisons on a new retina MacBook, and found that a 128GB secure digital card, which is the size of a postage stamp, can copy data more than 5x faster than the USB drive. Granted, an SD card is not a USB drive...but if you are looking for a very small flat storage device with a lot of capacity, an SD card is not much bigger, and is much faster.By the way, do not put this USB drive on a metal ring, or you will risk snapping the plastic tab off with the hole in it. The flexible lanyard that comes with the drive works great.

There s a reason that these are so "inexpensive" ...
I have all 5 of the Tuff 'n' Tiny USB drives - 2GB through 32GB. They look nice, form-factor is great, they are water and dirt proof. A lot has been said, so I will get straight to the issues. My biggest issue with them is that these drives are S-L-O-W.I was a bit surprised that 6.4 GB of data would take more than 30 minutes to copy. After a bit of Googling, I changed the settings to "Better Performance" under Windows 7. Still this was taking too long. A bit of research on Verbatim's website showed that these drived are slooooooww[...]And yes, only the 16GB and 32GB are sealed to be dirt proof, water proof etc. The others are sealed but NOT as well as the 16GB (Black) and 32GB (Red) ones.If you want a good USB fast drive, I would suggest Corsair's Flash Voyager GT drives. They are among the fastest drives; however they are not tiny.

cool at first, than not
It was cool for a month or two, then it wasn't. After a couple months, it stopped working: no computer would respond to it. It didn't even know it was plugged it. I have a ton of info on it that most of it is now lost...This was my first post when I just received it and used it for the first time:This flash drive is crazy small and crazy huge memory capacity! I was surprised, in a good way, by it's small size, and very pleased that it's so smooth and sleek, and it fits perfectly on my keychain. It's also password protected so no one else can get my stuff off of it. It holds as much memory as my iPod and iPad does! It's very simple to use. I keep thinking of new things to put on it: resume, work documents, music, videos, pictures, etc etc etc, and it still have so much memory left on it. If there was a reason to own more than 1, I would.

My first one lasted 2 years, my second one 6 months.
My first one lasted 2 years, my second one 6 months. That's way too short - I've never had other USBs of any brand die that fast. It was not at all excessively used (e.g. it did not wear out). The first one suddenly went stone dead. The second one developed constant errors and Windows kept offering to re format it, even after a fresh format.I think this is a great little item if it was durable. I kept it in my wallet (a very thin wallet) and kept it synced to the main folders on my hard drive, so if my laptop ever crashed I'd have this ready to go in 2 seconds. I gave them a second chance when the first died, but they don't get a third chance from me. Too bad.

They really are TOUGH and TINY
TUFF 'N' TINY drives have been dangling on my key chains for a few years now. They have never failed even in the worst of conditions. It takes all of 5 seconds to understand how to insert them properly, you just have to pay attention when you plug them in. If they ever make a USB 3.0 version, I will be all over those without hesitation.2015 EDIT: The one I purchased here is still going strong after one year. I have two other 8GB drives that were purchased about two years prior and are still in use.

Excellent purchase
This item is about $1/gb, which is a little pricey but is balanced by the portability.Fast transfer rates and great quality. Accidentally washed it and although most USB drives are okay after a washing if you let it dry, this one had no additional components (like LED indicators) you need to worry about. I like how no fuss this is.Also if your USB ports are very close together, no part of this juts out of the length or width of the port.I'd only worry about keeping this with keys, etc. because the metal components on the back are exposed.

Broke after one month
I thought a USB drive called Tuff N Tiny was going to last me a while. Mine stopped working approximately one month after I bought it. I just kept it in my pocket with my keys, nothing especially dangerous. The circuitry of the drive is completely exposed on the back. You can see the traces, the connectors, etc. I can't help but think that if they covered the circuitry on the back of the drive with more red plastic it might have not have broken. Also, not obvious from the picture or description is that this drive fits into USB ports upside down. When plugging the drive into a port I sometimes got it backwards. Unlike other USB drives which only fit one way, it is difficult to tell whether this drive is plugged in correctly or not. Maybe plugging it in upside down caused mine to break? The design of this drive makes that mistake really easy to do.

Broke in less than a year
Unit was great while it worked, transfers were fast. I was always worried that the small strap it came with was going to break and I'd lose it.After less than one year it just all of a sudden stopped working. It is no longer recognized by any computer, they don't even realize that something has been plugged in. The circuitry is visible on the back of the unit and there is no metal enclosure, so I wonder if some kind of static discharge caused the failure.

Perfect for the clumsy!
I needed a lot of storage for school - enough to hold numerous 3D architectural renderings, but am famous for dropping things. (I'm the only one left with a BlackBerry, because when I trip and toss it halfway across the street, which happens more than I'd like to admit - it's still OK.) I had been told I needed am external hard drive, or a wallet drive, but I didn't want to risk it with all those moving parts. I went with the Verbatim TufF N Tiny, with plans to purchase more as needed, and am quite pleased with it. It comes with a mini lanyard to attach to your key chain, so I can't forget it anywhere and not be able to work at different stations. Also, when I toss my keys to the coffee table, drop them in a parking lot, or even in a puddle, I don't have to worry about my files being lost. I give the 32GB 5 Stars for performance, and at $30, I can buy 4 of them for the price of an external hard drive or wallet drive, which will be more than enough storage for my needs. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the colour-coding. ALL 32GB are red - so when I need more room and buy another one - I won't be able to tell them apart without a sticker or something. I wish I could get the larger storage capacity, but in a variety of colours for convenience.
