Bestec Genuine 250W ATX-250-12Z D2 for HP 5187-1098 20-Pin ATX Power Supply

Item was an exact replacement for the Power Supply that I needed. 10 minute job installing it and it works great. It helps to take a couple of pictures of the cabling for location purposes.

This is the second one I've purchased. The first one lasted just a couple of years, but the computer I put it in is way over the hill and I don't want to spend a lot of money on it. I really should have replaced the computer by now, but I put it off and I needed to get it up and running to get the files off the hard drive. The power supply came as ordered. It was a breeze to install and works perfectly.

Looks functional but my computer still doesn't work. Probably not the fault of the new (or old) power supply.

It didn't work had to return it and get repairs made locally. Not sureif it was used but it wasn't in the original box.

This unit performed well until two months ago. It lasted only one year. Now the green light is flashing and I have to use a hot hair dryer to reset it every couple of hours.One would think a replacement part would last at least two to three years if not longer. Too bad I can't return it.

Purchased this item to replace the power supply that went out on my HP desktop computer. Light in the back of the tower started blinking and computer went out. Tried the old "hair dryer" trick into the old power supply but it only lasted one day before it started blinking again. Recieved the wrong unit (my fault) for the computer (short cable) but fortunately the seller was about a mile from my house. Drove over and they had the correct unit available, so we swapped them out. I installed the new unit myself and made the wiring was done one at a time, from the old unit hooked up to the new which made it very easy. Works fine now.

I bought this power supply to fix my computer that broke an I did not want to expend in a new one... So I decide to buy this product useCheap and works just perfect. Easy to install

I work for a business that exclusively uses Mac, but our billing is done on an ancient HP Desktop. One day it went poof, and we were really screwed. I Googled the problem, which turned out to be the power supply. After popping off the shell of that old dinosaur, I snapped a pic of the model # of the defunct power supply and took to the internets. I was fortunate to find that many sellers carried it, and ordered from the seller with the best deal. Three days later, the old beast was back up and running, faster and better than ever. The power supply came as described, and required no additional parts/wires.Additional Notes:- 1 -Be smart when you replace the thing. Be sure you're ordering the correct part. Be sure the computer is off (duh) and everything is unplugged, and be sure you take pictures or video (or have instructions) when disconnecting the wires/plugs from the old supply. I thought I didn't need to, and it cost me 10-20 minutes digging online for something to reference. The whole thing should take you 30 minutes or less.- 2 -Amazon could be a little more specific on which shipping option to select for items with the "Order in the next 'x' minutes and get it by..." text attached to the listing. Amazon said I could have the item by the next day- but didn't mention how. I chose expedited shipping (1-3 days) and got it in 3. No big deal, but it bugged me a bit. If you tell me I can get it by tomorrow, at least tell me which shipping option will make it happen. The seller was not at all at fault, and the customer service rep was very helpful when I contacted them about it.
