Good movie
I absolutely loved this movie. I like Jen Lilley and Kevin McGarry together. I follow when calls the heart and glad that Kevin Mcgarry joined the series after Jack died. I also liked him in the Christmas Scavenger Hunt with Kim Shaw. In this movie He takes a more dominant role. I also look for Jen Lilley’s films. I thought she did a good job in eat, play, love although I liked this movie a little better. She’s a good actress.

Very nice
This is the story of a young new writer whose mother was a famous author. She doesn't want to ride on her mother's coattails professionally, even though they seem to get along really well personally. She works at a coffee shop when the movie starts. Near the beginning of the story, she goes to a book signing where she comes off as being shy and not very popular compared to her publisher's other author who has written a couple of successful books about dragons. The publisher decides to pair the two for a book tour so that she can gain confidence and boost her chances at getting good reviews. It seems as though her book is well-written and well-received by those who read it. Her issue is that she isn't comfortable with self promotion. As the movie goes along, she gains confidence through interaction with the other writer. Their book tour goes well and they really bond, and develop feelings for each other. In the end, they both receive accolades. I won't spoil the ending, but suffice it to say, it is a pretty standard Hallmark movie ending. This is a nice movie with fairly nice scenery and good acting. The two main characters have a ton of chemistry and you can definitely imagine them hitting it off right from the first scene. They have a lot of tender and touching moments. The small hiccup comes when the female character mistakenly thinks the male character has gone back to his ex-wife. About the only small complaint I can offer is that in spite of the amazing chemistry between the two, their interactions sometimes come off a bit more lukewarm than they could. There are a couple of emotional moments, but most of the time it seems like two really good friends having an issue-free relaxing time. Overall, I really liked the movie, but it doesn't have quite as much emotional punch as some Hallmark movies. I would definitely recommend this one, but I probably won't rank it in my top ten favorites.

The Eyes!
Great romance about a Princeton educated, bestselling author and an insecure first time writer who happens to be the daughter of his Princeton professor. They ultimately help each other on a book tour and fall in love. Bungee, his dog, almost steals the show. Both Kevin McGarry and Jen Lilley have incredibly expressive eyes, which really adds some special sparkle to their chemistry. This movie is one of my favorite romances, and I highly recommend.

About the male lead...
Both leads are excellent. Always appreciate seeing characters develop a meaningful relationship which shows growth. True here. Lots of funny/interactive give & take in dialogue. Think the male lead here has a pronounced positive role. He's the lead until the very last scene. Not taking anything away from Jen Lilley. Actually bought the film for her acting. She's great in A Dash of Love, too. BUT, in this case Kevin McGarry was IMPRESSIVE.
