I had emergency full left hip replacement surgery a little over 2 weeks ago. After using a walker for a week, I was ready to graduate to a cane. I ordered this given the good reviews and am very satisfied with the product. While I am hoping that I will only need it for a few more weeks, it has been extremely helpful for me to rely on when I am in need of more support, or on days when my left leg/hip is in more pain and I can't put full weight on thar side while walking. It is also very easy to adjust the height to your preference. Some of the one star reviews cited the lack of stability: note that the rounded bottom does have the ability to pivot which I suppose is not desired by some, but I actually found this to be a benefit.

I just got mine today. I am very happy with it. I have a bad knee and the doctors told me it’s all arthritis I’m 67 years old ,so I guess I have to live with this knee. I’m so glad I bought this cane it works so good. So far so good. I recommend it to anyone that needs help walking..

Absolutely simple! It was upright in seconds. It snaps together fully compressed which happened to be what I needed but it adjusts very simply. Lightweight! I like the shape of the handle with the flat portion in the front. I painted a cross on mine & that's a fine conversation starter! The cane is lightweight but sturdy, & it is better at standing alone than 2 other 'self-standing' canes I own.

Does the job good for what I need. One thing not mentioned regarding the swivel of the base of the cane is another handy feature, it rotates, that makes taking corners pretty easy. The cane is durable, has held up good in constant winter weather, and operates just as well not on a flat surface. I've tried a few cane's out, and this one works the best. I'm knocking 1 star off due to a few issues. Yes, the cane collapses and folds.Drawbacks:1. Adjusted to my height the cane still folds up, yet it's not concentric.2. Directly related is that folding the cane up, the strap isn't fixed in place, it's made of cheap elastic and a snap button.Those two things noted caused me issues as at the time, as I had need to strap it to my backpack. My hip still sucks due to an injury, I'm not going to a Doc for them to say "OH, here are these controlled substances and [insert other blah blah blah statements here] here ya need to get hip surgery for more controlled substances and no recovery."Nature provides, and, despite the issues mentioned above, I consider cane's in general to be part of nature given how long the can has been around in one format or another.The cane is great and worth the price, just don't buy it for the fold up portion if you're strapping it to a backpack.

The cane is working well for me. After a car accident and 2 months in a wheelchair it is nice to be up walking with the help of my cane. My physical therapist likes it and told me to use it every time I walk while we are still working on my balance. It's light weight and sturdy. Adjusting the height was very easy and the grip is comfortable. I get complimented on the pretty pink color a lot.

IF YOU NEED SOME SUPPORT WHEN WALKING THIS IS THE PERFECT CANE. THE FLAT BASE MAKES IT MORE STABLE THAN THE REGULAR STRAIGHT CANE. THERE ARE COLORS TO CHOOSE. I PURCHASED A BLUE ONE FOR A FAMILY MEMBER. I DIDN'T KNOW IF SHE WOULD USE IT BUT SHE DOES. THE PRICE IS REASONABLE.

Dr told hubby to get a cane, he refused but Amazon to the rescue! I ordered and insisted, he has been using it for several days and is quite happy. He loved the height adjustment and the grip!

Love it for the most part. Could stand up on its own a little better. If brushed, it tips over and kind of wobbly on carpet, but does make it easier to walk than without it. I do like it much better than the one I was borrowing as the base was so big that I was tripping on it.
