Great solution for an old projector.
Used it to connect my laptop to an older Sony VPL-VW10HT projector for Halloween. Worked well and was able to use a XVGA signal. Shipped fast and showed up in plenty of time.

PC VGA out to Sony PVM
Tried using it to output VGA from PC to Sony PVM monitor with BNC inputs. I tried on both the Sony PVM 20L5 and Sony PVM 14M2U. It took a lot of fiddling around and I got picture to show up, but it wasn't clear, color wasn't correct, and picture size was inconsistent. Of course, this is not what the product is meant for so I guess that's more of my fault than anything. One other person reported this working out nicely for them on 20L5, so it could just be my VGA output. You could always bite the bullet and try this out as it should only put you back by about $10.If anyone else is in a similar situation to me, I suggest getting a scan converter (VSC 500 is probably your best bet) which will do exactly as you need and output will be beautiful. You can find them on ebay starting at $50, but I guarantee it's worth it.

Great for RGB monitors
This cable works great for hooking a PC up to an RGB monitor. I'm using it with a Sony PVM-20L5, in conjunction with a 2 female, 1 male BNC Y-splitter (to combine the 2 sync lines on the PVM) and a DVI male to VGA female adapter (my video card doesn't have VGA output). After a few adjustments in my video card's settings, the picture is flawless.
