Superb! One of my favs in this genera.
As an amateur “artist” , I appreciate the unique, yet, instructional theme of this book. Great for ideas to help one develop their own style and improve their skills.

Great book and very educational.
This book is great for any artist that wants to stimulate his imagination and learn or relearn perspective. For the beginning concept artist this is a great workshop that will teach you how to develop a ships, robots, building and more. Great book and very educational.

Very practical artistic guidebook.
Books on how to create art are necessarily vague. I mean, what is art, even? This one does a nice job of giving specific guidance on how to use real-life sources as inspiration for futuristic hardware. If you are a game designer looking for help in creating new, but recognizable robots and other machines, this will be a useful source.

For real beginners
The breakdowns are great and may help new designers but once you master certain concepts thru practice then this books becomes paper weight. Reguardless an interesting look back at things I have learnt.

Awesome
Great science fiction books stimulate your imagination, getting you to think about them long after you finished reading them. The stuff of Sci Fi is the stuff of dreams -- robots, starships, star voyages, epic battles and high-tech vehicles. This book is in a league of its own and I loved it.Plus who doesn't love sketching? To whom it may concern these are my 2 favorite aviation art books on Amazon:- Aviation Art by Lou Drendel- Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim Gibson

good information and examples
This book shows clear pictures of base forms so you get to see the foundation how certain vehicles and things were constructed without all the details. This makes it a interesting read and I left wanting more examples since it was so helpful in my own constructions.

Definitely a worthy purchase!
A really enjoyable and practical guide for those people, like me, who lean towards a particular genre. Normal sketching books can often be a bit of a mind numbing experience, but somehow this is different even when some similar information, such as shading, is explained. It goes to show that the context is really important and the book walking you through some great technique both inspires and encourages in equal measure.Definitely happy with my purchase, and even if you only used it as a coffee table book for the content, in my humble opinion, it is worth every penny!Great job authors, more please!
