I used this to replace a sensor that went bad in a light I already had. It worked perfectly. The adjustments for the amount of time the light stays on worked perfectly as well as the sensitivity.

At $8.99 there can be no complaint about the value of this product. I was using a $30 motion detector switch to turn our walk-in closet light on and off. Unfortunately, the placement of the switch did not allow the light sensor to pick up somebody walking in the closet until they were well inside. Using a blanking plate with this sensor I was able to point the device toward the door entrance so that it picks up body heat immediately somebody enters. There are a couple of negative issues. The wires are not colored according to North American standards; the device uses brown for hot, blue for neutral and red for load. Also, the wires are 18 AWG, and because our lighting circuits are on 15 amp circuit breakers minimum, in the event that there were a short circuit in the device, I doubt that the circuit breaker would trip before these wimpy wires burned. Also, on my device, contrary to the instructions, counter-clockwise turning of the delay knob, increases the time to switch off. Pity too that is isn’t at this time available in white.

Used for outdoor porch light. Installed December 2022. Still working. Would have been nicer if they provided an adapter to fit the standard 1/2 inch hole in our electric boxes. But satisfied with long lasting, "set and forget".

No instructions or wiring diagram so wiring it wrong will ruin unit.

I installed this in a westerly facing direction where it only gets direct sun 50% of the time. It works great as a small motion sensor but it lasted about 2 years before the dome disintegrated.

The motion sensor is a Great product.

Worked well for adding a motion sensor to my pantry light. As other have stated, the pigtail wires are hard to work with because they are only 3" long. You will likely need jumper wires. Otherwise, great.

This was perfect for my purpose. I had a sconce light with two candle sticks controlled each by their own button on the sconce. I wanted to make one of them a motion activated one so I diconnected black wire of the light I was making motion activated from the rest of the unit. Then I added the brown live wire to the power coming in from the plug and going into the other black wire of the other light. Then I connected the blue wire to the white wires and neutral incoming in from the plug. Then I come yes the removed black wire of the light with the red wire of the motion activation device and secured all the connections in wire nuts and added a bit of electrical tape. Done.
