These are the best eye drops I have come across for my dry ...
These are the best eye drops I have come across for my dry eye I was on vacation in Guadalajara Mexico and the flight was a bit too long with me wearing my contacts and I couldn't get to my drops they were in the ever head compartment. I developed what I thought was an eye infection and reluctantly went to see an eye doctor and was told it was not an eye infection just my dry eye and she wrote a prescription for this drops and the first drop made my eyes feel normal again. The great thing is you can use them wearing your contacts. I ordered these from the Uk and the price was about 25.00 dollars but this is what I use even if I have order online.

Artelac Rebalance Drops are very soothing for dry eyes.
I have autoimmune disorders including dry eye syndrome. These eye drops are very soothing and easy to place in my eyes without scratching my eye ball. They were recommended to me by a friend who lives in Mexico and I am very grateful to her!

Best lubricant with a preservative
Easy to dispense, but not as effective as preservative-free options.

Low pH with my papers - oxidative preservative, short lasting effect
expires in 2 months after opening, so only buy if you want to use it quick. :) some may like it, who knows. with pH 6.8 (my 5 papers) B12, (concentration unspecified) boric, 0.15% HA, 0.5% PEG8000, NaCl/Kcl/MgCl2/CaCl2 (Ca drops can form eye stones) + toxic oxyd (in vivo toxic too) preservative: didn’t like Artelac, one of the worst drops, sort of like Refresh Plus, very watery, dispersing fast; it lasts only a few minutes of comfort and then gone; 1st time it caused itching near left eye nasal corner. It’s not like the nice glycerin+HA Optase, Hylo, Clear Eyes Adv, etc. Oxyd is gentle vs BAK per some papers, so 100s of companies use it under many names. BAK is the worst preservative. However, oxyd can be bad too, in some studies only 5% of the cells were left viable after oxyd was applied, so it's not as harmless as companies claim. :)Bausch and Lomb has so many eye products that are much better than this Artelac, I think the fact they don't specify B12 concentration is weird, since many companies say it's 0.02 or 0.05%.Why is the oxyd preservative, mixture of NaClO and NaClO3 toxic?“Cellular viability was moderately reduced by Perborate and Polyquad... dramatically reduced by BAK...Thiomersal and Oxyd (Oxyal, Artelac Rebalance) preserved tear substitutes” ► Tox In Vitro 2010;24(1):276-85. Oxyd or oxide viability was 6%.“incidence of pain and discomfort reducing from 52.4% to 7.8% following use of preservative-free compared to preserved drops... lower levels of burning/ stinging (40% vs 22%), dry eye sensation (23% vs 14%), foreign body sensation (31% vs 14%)... After a minimum 3-week switch to a preservative-free artificial tears, Ocular Surface Disease Index (OSDI) scores were significantly reduced for 97% of the patients, along with a reduction in the frequency of superficial punctate keratitis” ► Clin Ophthal 2019;13:1409-25.“the ideal artificial lubricant should be preservative-free... Preservative-free formulations are absolutely necessary for patients with severe dry eye..” ► The Ocular Surface 2007;5(2):69-204, the DEWS (Dry Eye WorkShop) Report (142 page PDF; this long PDF explains how eye drops are formulated, how toxic some ingredients are). The most toxic preservative is BAK (benzalkonium chloride, for short, or alkyl dimethylbenzyl ammonium chloride, the correct name, with alkyl C8H17 to C18H37;JOPT 2009;25(2): 13-9 found in vitro toxicity at artificial tear concentrations for cornea/conjunctiva cells to reach 6-59% for 0.01% EDTA (chelates metals, so inhibits metalloproteases on the ocular surface), 23-59% for 0.0025% perborate Na2[B2O4(OH)4] (banned in EU, not boric/borate, but used in US eye gels like Systane), 30-60% for 0.01% methylparaben, 50-86% for 0.25% chlorobutanol, 56-89% for 0.025% BAK (thankfully, at 0.01% usually), 70-95% for 0.0025% thimerosal mercury compound which is deadly, since mercury destroys nerves. So there you go, oxyd can be almost as deadly sometimes as thimerosal mercury compound... isn't that insane??????Anyway, so try some B12 drops from Bausch and Lomb that have no preservatives like B12 0.05% they sell via Chauvin Labs or the Thea saline solution, both of which have only B12 0.05% and NaCl 0.9%. Search the web for 0.05% B22 drops and you will find Thea and Bausch and Lomb ones without preservatives via online sites or maybe even amazon. . 4 human studies on B12 eye drops are: GYZ 2016; 16(7):1329-31, GACEO 2015;253(3):425-30 & B12 spray: DDDT 2019;13:2381-91, B12+citicoline drops: AT 2020;37(4):1646-63; a rat study showed effects. One thing I do like is taht they use less toxic hyaluronate ingredients, of higher moleccular weight according to Transl Vis Sci Technol. 2019 Nov; 8(6): 2. that lists pH at 7.3, ideal for most people, though my papers showed 6.8, maybe bad lot number. High molecular weight hyaluronate is better supposedly, though it can also suppress ocular immune system via reducing inflammation too much. So this being higher weight it will not make our eyes more inflamed like the chap hyaluronate drops can. It's hard to know how good a drop is, when pH is not ideal and tht in of itself may make it good only for people with that lower pH. Lots of things to consider. :) But definitely, if you use eye drops a lot, daily, 3-5 times daily or at night too, use unpreserved always, since long-term cumulative damage becomes catastrophic. So, this may only be good for people with lower pH who want to test B12 or some exotic ingredient. The fact they use PEG8000 as lubricant is problematic, since it's been shown to cause allergic response and inflammation sometimes. I think you will love hyaluroante 0.2% or 0.1% drops a lot more than this 0.5% PEG8000, so try pH 7.2 Hylo Tear, Hylo Forte or one of the many hyaluroante unpreserved drops... :)
