I purchased this philips 8000b in great indian amazon sale at 8250. This home theater can beat any home theatre and soundbar under 10k to 25k. Best home theatre for 90s bollywood music and horror thriller or sci fi movies. If you use equalizer to this home theatre according to your taste It will produce very rich vocal and instrumental specially dholak and tabla. All you Just need to install realtalk HD audio driver in your computer and connect via aux cable. You will amazing sound quality The Base of this philips 8000b is next level higher fidelity quality All you need just put front speaker & rear speaker volume at 20 and base level at 13 or 15. I purchased sony D40 which has extremely worst sound quality and artificial boosted upper bass that will surely give headache after 10 minute of listening. Sony D40 has class D amplifier which doesn't produce rich quality sound output how much you try to use equalizer to amplify frequency. Philips 8000b has class AB amplifier (TDA 2050 HIFI) which is used in HIFI sound system. I sold sony d40 and got philips 8000b which has truly satisfactory output

I had high hopes for the PHILIPS Audio SPA5128B 5.1 CH 40W Multimedia Speaker with Subwoofer, but it turned out to be a major letdown. The sound quality is subpar—tinny highs, weak bass, and overall lack of clarity. The subwoofer barely delivers any punch, and the surround sound effect is practically nonexistent. Build quality also feels cheap, and the system started making static noises within days of use. Setup was unnecessarily complicated, and the remote control is unresponsive most of the time. For a brand like Philips, I expected much better. This product does not live up to its description or price tag. I would like to return this item immediately. It’s simply not fit for purpose and does not meet my expectations.

Sold by: Appario Retail Private Ltd Overall, the speakers are good but severely lacking in some areas that one can expect in this price segment. Positives: 1. Good Bass. 2. Easy to switch between different inputs. You can either use the buttons on the subwoofer or the remote to quickly switch between the inputs which is pretty convenient. 3. Bluetooth connectivity is good (Tested with my Android Phone). Negatives: 1. Short cables. This has been the biggest negative so far. The optimal speaker/subwoofer position recommended in the manual and shown in the promotional images are almost impossible with the short cables they provide. You would most likely need to make a lot of compromises with your setup especially if you’re using it with a PC like me. 2. Maybe it is an issue only in my unit but the volume buttons are terrible on the subwoofer. I cannot push and tap it to increase/decrease by one volume unit but it expects me to push and hold the buttons to gradually increase/decrease the volume which doesn’t give you enough control to set the volume you want. I highly recommended using the remote provided to change the volume instead of using the buttons on the subwoofer. 3. No simple bass controls on either the subwoofer or the remote. The bass can be overpowering sometimes but since it doesn’t have any bass controls, you need to rely on your input device to manually change the bass levels which can feel complex to the average user including me.
