Great first telescope
Multiple lenses and easy adjustment, a good buy for the price. The tripod is a little shaky when fully extended.

Great for starters!!!
Ok, so I am very new to stargazing and astronomy in general. I read a lot (on and off Amazon) and found that this one was liked by a lot of people as a starter scope. One of the main reasons I settled for this one is that it was a total package. Many articles and videos state that there are a few accessories that you really should get, but they are all included in this package! (Constellation Chart, different strength eye-pieces, Moon filter and more). Even a carry case is included.I have not had too many chances to use this yet, but the first couple times it was very easy to set up and use. Prior to it arriving, I was sent a message from the seller with information and documentation and it was REALLY nice and VERY helpful. The follow-through is something that does not happen much, but it was really nice to see!Great scope and company!

Really nice scope, sturdy tripod. Worthless phone adapter
I purchased this item for the cell phone adapter. This adapter is useless for most modern phones with more than one camera lens. For this reason alone I am returning this scope. I made this purchase to take with me on a trip to Costa Rica. I rented an Airbnb with an awesome view of a river canyon. My plan was to take some much-needed time off and take images and video via the adapter. The tripod is super nice. I have several tripods and this one is better than most of the ones I have. The scope comes with a minimalistic case. and a small zipper makeup-style bag for the optics that is just too small to get everything inside. The "lens cover" is a silicone deal that pops into the big end. This will not stay. In the end the price for this telescope is very fair. If I had to purchase a telescope again and not be concerned about the phone adapter, I would recommend this one. Good luck

Truly impressive
The media could not be loaded. I was afraid that the performance would be limited because of the very low price compared to others, but I was mistaken. This is the model 40080 which has a larger aperture and 45 deg objectives for both finder and main telescope. I am impressed by the clarity and quality. Images are of boats at Molokini from Maui Meadows about five miles away (without Barlow lens). Almost clear enough to see people. The only limitation appeared to be air turbulence over the land and water. The only limitation, if you can call it that, is the cell phone holder clamp has pretty short pads, so it won't hold a phone in a case, and barely deep enough to hold the phone without the case.

Very cheap item
The ESSLNB Telescope for Adults, with its 700mm focal length, unfortunately falls short of expectations. Here’s a summary of my experience:Cons:• Build Quality: The materials used feel cheap and flimsy, leading to concerns about the telescope’s durability.• Optical Performance: The image quality is poor, with blurry and unfocused views making it difficult to enjoy stargazing or terrestrial observation.• Stability: The tripod is unstable, causing constant vibrations that disrupt viewing.• Assembly: The setup instructions are unclear and complicated, making assembly a frustrating process.Overall, this telescope does not deliver on its promises and is not worth the investment. The low-quality build and poor performance make it a disappointing purchase.

Decent Beginner Telescope, but Tripod is a Big Letdown
I bought this telescope for my child and while it works, it definitely has its flaws. The optics are mediocre — the image is okay, but don't expect anything close to high quality. It’s enough for a curious beginner, but could definitely be sharper. The biggest issue by far is the tripod. It’s extremely flimsy — even the slightest touch moves the entire setup, making it nearly impossible to keep anything in view. We ended up replacing the tripod just to make the telescope usable.Another design concern: the tube with the optics is held together by a single small screw. For a product meant for young kids, this doesn’t feel sturdy or durable enough.Overall, the quality is okay for the price, but the tripod really drags the experience down. If you’re willing to upgrade the tripod yourself, it can be an acceptable starter scope. Otherwise, you might want to look elsewhere.

5-star customer service
Update: As I said before, the customer service was very good. Janis worked with me and helped me find a scope that was more to my liking. She is pleasant to work with and I wish more customer services reps were like she is._____I was attracted by the barlow lens, the steel tripod, the upright view and the suction phone pad. All nice features but they don't amount to much if you can't figure out how to use them. For that you need an intelligible instruction manual, and what I got was rife with broken English and even red lines through some phrases. The scope hood and cover were detached and there was no indication in the manual that it would come packaged this way or how to attach it. There's also no indication in the Amazon description or the manual that the red dot spotter requires a battery. Nor does it indicate how to get the plastic from between the battery and the holder. There were other issues too numerous to mention. These things may be expected by a more experienced user, but I don't recommend it for a beginner.I will say that the customer support team was very good at responding; I just didn't feel that their responses were very helpful. Every time I got a response it ended with them letting me know that I could return the product, so after the third time I did.
