I like the fact that these pens hold their own ink supply without having to dip them. I taught calligraphy for many years back in the days when we had the fountain pens and then the dip pens. These pens are a wonderful combination of the other two plus the variety of colors is especially nice.

I got these for my calligraphy art class and these go a long way! They do bleed a bit but that might just be the paper I have.

For Pilot Parallel Pen users, this is pretty much the standard for ink cartridges. It is high quality, dependable, easy-to-use, and EXCELLENT for when you're traveling or on-the-go. However, if you use your Pilot Parallel Pens often, you might end up spending a small fortune over your calligraphy or art journey. For me, a single cartridge will last 2-3 days of heavy/ moderate writing or a week of light daily practice. My suggestion is to grab yourself a bottle of Ecoline Watercolor ink and a syringe and just keep refilling your old ink cartridges. Although the Ecoline ink is not archival (it will eventually fade), this is a great option for practice and will save you a lot of money in the long run! Have fun!

I love these pens and ink, but unfortunately, my Amazon package arrived empty due to a large hole in the side. It has been difficult to find a way to request a replacement for a missing item. I’m sharing this here in hopes of bringing attention to the issue.

This ink is excellent for calligraphy. It is the refill for the Pilot calligraphy pens. It does dry quicker than most inks, but is not instant.
