Well built, strong clamp, and the knobs work well.
Nice and sturdy. The knobs work well and are easy to turn, yet stay in place well once I have them positioned exactly where I want them. They could improve this by making the markings on the dials glow in the dark, and/or having distinct stops every 15 or 30 degrees. Also, make sure you have a spacer between your tripod mount and the unit so that it doesn't get caught against the tripod legs when you adjust the vertical tilt on the unit. I have used this tripod head to successfully take many panoramas with no problem.

Great price, Excellent Product, Fast Delivery - What more could you ask for?
Pro Level geared drive head that works very well. All Aluminum Alloy makes it very sturdy and lengthens longevity. Working in the Real Estate Photography field and owning a Bendro Gear Head, I like this head better and I am pleased with the purchase! This purchase will not disappoint.

Works
Works well for my needs, I am definitely a fan of the 1/4 turn knob this has over regular thumb wheels.

Good solid ball head
As a general rule I don't really like ball heads and rarely use them if there is any other option. It's usually too hard to accurately aim the camera and lock it in place without having it sag when you let go of it, losing your aim point. For most purposes I prefer a standard three way head like the very sturdy Manfrotto #3047, or for when I want to be able to follow moving subjects, a gimbal head like the moderately priced Movo GH700 MK II. (You can pay a lot more, and probably get some advantages, but this one works for me and my budget.)The exception is for mounting the camera on a start tracker which is in turn mounted on a geared head. In that case the ball head can stay locked in place because you're making the adjustments with the geared head.I'm using this one with a K&F Concept three way geared head and an iOptron Skytracker Pro. and the main problem I'm having is not enough clear nights!

Kept My Carbon Fiber Dolica Legs Working
I have a Dolica Carbon Fiber tripod that I've owned for years who's ball head decided to get sloppy and just wear out. There are a ton of options out there, but this ball head had solid reviews across the board and was priced well. Some of the reviews mention plastic and lower quality feeling construction, I can say with 100% certainty, theews none of that in the unit I purchased and received. This is solid and well made with nicely machined aluminum components. The best part, it was a direct fit replacement, not too wide or narrow at the base.I would highly recommend this brand and specific ball head to anyone who is in need to freshen up a tripod or complete one purchased as legs and head separately.

Excellent tripod mount as long as it doesn't break
When I first received this geared head tripod mount, I was amazed at how solid it felt and how easy it was to begin using it. There is a small learning curve when it comes to remembering which knob controls which axis, but after that it's simple. The only notable down side of this head is its size, and specifically related to travel. The solution I've come up with is to remove it from the tripod and then wrap it with socks and then some clothing, but it does consume significant volume...Why the three stars? Well, in the 18 months I've owned it, it's actually had very light use. I've used it a handful of times for architectural shoots, and twice for night sky work. That's why I was completely dumbfounded when the knob that controls the forward/backward pitch (up/down) stopped working - and then actually unscrewed. For a bit, I could use the macro adjuster to free move the axis so my camera was level, but then the locking function stopped working and it was near impossible to work.I called their customer support number this morning, pleasantly a human answered the line without endless voice prompts of pressing one number or another. After collecting some of my information and learning of the issue, he asked me to take a video of the issue and send it in to them.I'll keep this review updated with the status of the issue.

Have the ability to lock each axis independently
If you need a ball head that locks the vertical, and horizontal movements separately, this is the answer. Once set, the camera is rock solid, not the slightest movement. Very easy to make slight adjustments to maximize your composition. Unlike other ball heads I have tried, this adds no noticeable weight to the tripod.Have tried other ball heads, tilt & pan heads, l brackets, none hve provided the stability, and flexibility that this does.Highly rcommend
