Found a speaker in the trash and wouldn't charge thru the back port so I got this and charges just fine now. Got me a Bose speaker for the price of a charging base!!!!!

I love the idea of a cradle charging station for my Bose speaker. I love my speaker. I Hate that it did not come with a cable just for the charging station. Why not ? if it costs that much more, include it and raise the price. That is the right way to do business. Bose, I love your products, but you broke my heart this time.

The Bose Portable Home Speaker can be used both as a portable Bluetooth speaker and as an always-on smart speaker with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant--but if you do plan to use it as a smart speaker charging it twice a day doesn't really make much sense. Yes, you could just keep it plugged into a wall outlet 24 hours a day but that would make the Bose Portable Home Speaker both a whole lot less portable and also less versatile. With this charging base, you can simply pick up the speaker by its handle whenever you want to use it as a portable Bluetooth speaker in a different room or outside your home and then when done just return the speaker, disconnect your Bluetooth audio device and the Bose Portable Home Speaker automatically turns back into a full-time smart speaker again. The base is so unobtrusive it actually looks like part of the speaker. Since it just needs to rest on the cradle and there are no pins to line up the speaker can face in any direction making the charging cradle extremely easy to use. It's also pretty reasonably priced for an official Bose product accessory but that's probably because it's such a must-have it really should have been included in the package with the speaker in the first place. If you already have the Bose Portable Home Speaker this accessory is a complete no-brainer and the only way to take full-advantage of that expensive speaker.

If you have or plan on buying a Bose Portable Home Speaker, get this charging dock! I have two Bose Portable Home Speakers and I also have two charging docks. You need this; trust me. Stop hesitating. The benefit of this charging dock or cradle is that it allows you to charge your speaker by just placing it gently on the charging dock or just keeping it there to always be charged and ready. It allows you to charge your speaker without having to plug and unplug the USB-C cord from the speaker's base continuously. Because of it's tight fit, you don't want to keep plugging and unplugging this charging cable from your speaker. The constant inserts and removals, depending on the heaviness of your hand or fingers, could cause damage to the speaker's charging insert. This is something you definitely do not want to happen on this expensive little speaker. The charging cradle or dock is the solution to all of this because you can just keep the USB-C cord plugged into the dock and place your speaker on it to charge when necessary. If you have the speaker(s) in your shopping cart, do not check out without adding the charging dock(s). It is worth the purchase.
