This thing is sweet! It's like a mini lightsaber for lighting candles. The flexible neck is really nice for getting into hard to reach places and it is super easy to operate. I can imagine this lighter being hugely beneficial for the elderly and physically disabled people to use.The little electrical arc is somewhat shielded by the outside edges, so it is definitely harder to burn or zap yourself than a traditional butane lighter. It's also easier to charge up than messing with gas cartridges. It's like plugging in your phone!I am having way too much fun with this thing and am trying to find any excuse to light more candles around the apartment.

We use lighters indoors and outdoors but it's a battle against mother nature sometimes when we're outside especially when it's windy. The flames from the lighter will always blow out before we can light anything up. This is no longer an issue with this electronic lighter.I was trying this out with my candles and didn't know that I have to let it start up first (where you see the blue plasma) before putting the candle wick between the two sides. Took about 2 seconds or less and it lit up the candle without a problem.Definitely keep this away from children since it is not difficult to turn on with the safety on/off button. Once it's on, all that is needed is to hold the power button on top and it will start up immediately.Overall, very happy with this purchase. Won't need another lighter for a while now since this electronic one has a rechargeable battery instead of using gas like the conventional lighters.

This thing is awesome! My husband and I had been using regular lighters but they never reached the bottom and I was going to buy one of those long neck lighters but then I came across this one. It's great and only needs charged, maybe, once a month depending on how often we light the candles (typically light 2 everyday).

I use this for candles (scented and birthday). The lighter is absolutely incredible, charges quickly, and is great quality.Pros:-Quickly lights candles-Futuristic Aesthetic-Micro USB port to recharge-5 light dots to show how much is charged (20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%)-Extremely Flexible Arc-Easily relights candles at birthday party when someone aside from the birthday person blows out the candlesCons:-Micro USB cable is short (i just ended up using an old cable at the house instead)-Is so cool, that everyone wants to borrow/light things/steal it. (friends will ask for this as a birthday gift)Sidenote: I recommend occasionally cleaning the laser area gently with a cotton swab (when lighter is off) to keep it clean.Overall: Highly recommend. I bought this one for my daughter.I have similar type lighter for myself and found them super effectively and efficient.This is what she has to say:Order was delivered promptly and came in simple but well packaged.Impressed this lighter charges using USB cable.It bends, so able to light candles in deep inside a jar.At first I thought this lighter is faulty as it wasn’t lighting up.Than I noticed the is a on/off switch on the bottom. Turned it ON and it ignited the lighter.The trigger itself has a pretty sturdy action/strong spring, so it’s not like it’s a straight-up HAZARD, but you’re probably gonna wanna keep this one away from children.It holds charge.Overall impressed it’s been working well without fail last w months plus.

To be fair, when I bought this lighter I didn't expect anything from it. I thought that this would be a pretty toy that I would use a few times and never again.Boy, I was wrong.Let's start from the beginning:Packaging: Lighter comes in solid packaging that you would expect to be delivered with jewelry, not for lighter. It looked nice and sturdy (nothing unexpected inside though, except lighter of course.Build Quality: lighter looks metallic and sturdy from outside... up until you will actually hold it in hand. Then it seems pretty cheap, but to be fair nothing too plasticky (what did you expect for 10 bucks).Usability: Now we are talking. For the past month I have used it regularly, EVERY DAY, and on special occasions as well, including BBQ and it did not disappoint even a single time (oh did I say that I charged it only once since purchase?!) It does what it should do: I LIGHTS STUFF ON FIRE! And I love it. No more matches, no more burning bunch of things to burn more things.This thing just works magically.Would I recommend it?! Unless you are living in a utopia where the fire is no longer needed anywhere, I 100% recommend this without hesitation.
