Davis's Drug Guide for Nursesr Fourteenth Edition

LOVEEEEE! this book is a lifesaver in my pharm class. It was recommended by my teacher and I understand why, it's a lifesaver! Has mostly ALL of meds you can ever need (although it is missing a few that we went over in class, but it was rare) which helped so much in understanding all the indications and such of the drug. If you really want to have plenty of thorough info on a drug then this book is for you! It also had a code for the online website of the book which was convenient when I wanted to look up drugs from my laptop but still get the books info at the same time. life saver for pharm students!

I previously owned an earlier addition, but it had grown way out of date. So I know what to expect and bought a lightly used later addition, but not the current edition that is much more expensive. I take a ton of meds and am age 80, so I am constantly reading and studying this great valuable resource, to see if I have any problems, side effects, and what dosages are available, so I can speak intelligently with my family doctor. This book is invaluable, and the recent less expensive edition has served me just fine. Highly recommended!

This book is a great help while in the clinical setting, and a reference for paperwork. It took me a little bit to get used to the set up of the book, mostly because I was unfamiliar with drug names (brand vs. generic). I do sometimes need to supplement in Medscape because there are several difference between this book and online reference, but I would highly recommend this book for any nursing student or nurse who needs a easy-to-use reference before passing medications, or when learning about medications.

I bought it new, but it came used, as one of the codes in the book was already scratched off lol. Can’t complain too much though since I got it on sale, but you know. The product itself is what I was expecting and good!

Wonderful little resource to have. Easy to use, and it's a breeze when you need to look something up quick. People are often borrowing it from me because it's easier and quicker to use than other drug guides, even the ones on cell phone apps. It's not tiny and won't fit in your pocket, but it's small enough you can just toss it in your bag and go. Has everything you could need to know. I recommend this book.

This is very helpful in making med cards for pharmacology. They have all the information you need to know (class, other names, contraindications, drug reactions, dosages and routs, also tips on what to assess on someone taking the drug and some teaching you can use while teaching a patient about taking the drug). Would recommend for anyone going through nursing school and really anyone in Tue nursing field. Because you can't memorize all the drugs out there, this is handy enough to look up certain drugs

Recommended by my teachers (I am a nursing student) but bought others because I could get them faster. The two other drug books did not have meds in them I needed for a test and almost caused me to fail. Luckily I was able to borrow a Davis Drug Guide from an instructor and finish my assignment. I love how this highlights the most common side effects which the other two did not, just listed all of them. Easy to understand and would recommend for anyone who takes drugs or has family members who have complicated medical issues.

This book is every nurse companion. Even my teachers has theirs when they were in nursing school of course different edition. Love the book easy to understand. The only thing that I will point out is that it has every single side effects of medication which is not a bad thing. But when you are in nursing school is better to have just the main ones and the ones you see the most in the hospital setting. Just my opinion, other than that is like having your own encyclopedia drug guide.

I would die without this book in RPN School. Very handy and well organized. I Love it. Cheapest price is Amazon. I couldn't find a lower price.
