Benchmark gimbal.
Dji osmo mobile 3 is a well suited weapon for beginner and advanced mobile filmmakers. The dji mimo app unlocks all its potential. The device is most ergonomical of its kind you can get hands on. The device quality and design engineering excellent. You could feel it the moment you hold it in hand. The activetrack works quite well, stability is unparallel and mimo app is upgrading in a fast pace. The standby mode was quite helpful in between taking shots to save power, this device could outrun the worktime of the mobile you are filming on. Taking spinshots has never been easier. Setting the time and point to tilit towards and see prior the resultant footage length of the timelapse were excellent features on mimo app too. Joystick is a blessing when filming. Literally no downsides besides the barely noticable constrain when pushed to extreme angles which is common with any mobile gimbal.

Finally a useful and compelling mobile gimbal from DJI!!
I decided to go for the DJI OSMO Mobile 3 as it finally looks like a nice package due to the much-improved design and functionality compared to the earlier models in many aspects. My first impression is good. The fit and finish seem good even with its all plastic construction. What's good: ● Very compact and portable (esp. after folding) ● Good stabilization ● The handle is tilted at 15° angle, it seems a more ergonomic and more natural way to hold than the straight ones ● Easy to flip between portrait and landscape modes by the press of a button ● Good fit, finish, and material - although made of plastic - it feels sturdy and well built ● Once folded and locked it forms a nice tight-fitting package - the gimbal handle doesn't move around ● Nice features in DJI Mimo app (although the Android App is not as good and feature-rich as the iOS app) ● Relatively good value for money - esp compared to the earlier DJI Mobile Gimbals and if you get buy during some Amazon sale ● You can charge your phone while shooting (it deteriorates the non- replaceable battery - so I will try to avoid doing it) What's not as good: ● 360 rotation on any axis is not possible ● It needs re-balancing every time after the phone is removed ● No replaceable battery - makes the gimbal's life depend on the life of the battery and also, less environment-friendly... ● Android App is not as good and feature-rich as the iOS app - many functionalities are missing in the android version ● The packaging is not very sturdy and got little battered due to handling during shipping Overall observation: The price is very good for a DJI product (esp. with Amazon sale discount). Nowadays you can get a mobile gimbal for around Rs. 4000 - 5000, but OSMO Mobile 3's build quality, design and useful set of functionality seem to make it a great choice even with it's relatively higher price compared to the alternatives. These are my immediate observations as I just got it today - will update the review once I have more experience with the same.

Excellent product!
Easy to use. Excellent build quality. Well thought out design. The sideways-arm design ensures that the gimbal motor does not come into the frame even when using wide screen mode on newer mobile phones. I use it with the OnePlus 7T, and it works perfectly in wide screen mode as well. You cannot shoot in torchlight mode because of this arm design, but you can hold the gimbal hand sideways (like holding a bike handle) to get the same effect. The Story Mode feature is very useful to make short video clips that capture the moment. And, the battery lasts for 15 hours of usage; which would mean at least 3 days of intermittent usage on a trip. Plus, you can charge your phone from the gimbal's battery while it is being used. Well worth the premium over other gimbals.

The Best Gimbal Ever worth the price
I like the Gimbal very much, in fact, I loved it. It is very compact and portable that you can carry it in your pocket or in a bag and go everywhere. It is very easy to use and operate. The battery is way too impressive it will last very long. I shoot my youtube Videos with this Gimbal only. There are two variants of this Gimbal one is the Combo pack which will cost your more than 10k which will provide you a tripod and an extra pouch, But I will recommend you to go with the solo version which will cost you 8.3k around. You can buy a tripod at 500 at amazon. The tripod I use is - https://amzn.to/2R2xsGL . you can buy it from Amazon only. It's a great deal.

always useful for the vloggers
the gimbal is working well and good with the app, that should be installed in your smartphone before fixing in the gimbal, being a first user we fixed in the gimbal while switched on, it was not worked there was no movement and we checked in the product website and apps, shown that to install app and note if preinstalled kindly uninstall the app once bought the product then switch on gimbal then install the app, definitely work. well designed easy to handle though there was slight shaking during the video editing session while in hard and rough surface movements.

It never balance any phone
Since i received this product i tried all the phone but it never worked. I watched many youtube video about it and also asked many people that whats going wrong but they were also not able to do the balancing. Due tot this even after some management if it allows to go further some how, it displays gimble error. So i kept blaming my self for not able to balance and use it but now after lot of trial by taking advices come to thr conclusion either this piece is faulty or it has been not calibrated correctly. All of my money is waste. I know after long duration i am posting it. I know none one from seller or company will notice this and bother to help. But beware guys.

I'm very pleased with the quality and functionality of the Osmo 3, and its software. Expect a little learning curve of the stabilizer and the software, and get some hours of practice making stabilized videos. The best thing is, your pictures and videos are always LEVEL! No "rocking boat" effect like you get with those "Merlin"-style mechanical balance stabilizers. I built several of those, and active stabilization is just MUCH better, and worth the cost. The roll axis (horizon) just stays level. The tilt and pan axes smoothly follow your movements, with about a 15 degree "lag" behind your movement. This lag is how you guide it around without shaking it. Don't expect to make perfect "flying" videos while walking -- it stabilizes the angles, but not not the position of the camera (like any hand-held stabilizer); so as you walk along, objects in the near-field hop and wiggle a little bit, while the far-field stays still in the frame. I'm using it with a Galaxy S9+, a big phone with a great camera. You DO need to remove the phone case, even a thin one. Balancing is easy; just hold it by the upper arm and slide the phone in the clamp until it doesn't tilt (with the Osmo off). You DO need the app; the Osmo comes to life after turned on AND paired with the app. At first I used the QR code on the box to download the app from DJI. It didn't work! I uninstalled it and downloaded it from Play Store and it worked fine. The app easy to use; just poke around in the menus & settings, like any app, to see what all it does. The handle has 2 buttons, a 4-way slider, a zoom slider, and a trigger. I found it hard to remember what 1,2,3 presses does, so you do need to use it a good while to memorize the button/trigger functions. Don't expect all features to work with all phones. For example, on my S9+ it will not do slow-mo, but will do hyper-lapse. And the zoom is jerky, not smooth, with the zoom slide switch. Be sure to get a little 3-wing table-top tripod for it; you can't set it down without one. Battery life is fine; last a lot longer than you'll want to carry it around making videos. Overall, this picky techie is very pleased with it, and recommends it if you want a best-in-class phone gimbal, from a well-trusted brand. (I was NOT compensated in any for my review.) --KV5R
