A Reliable Tool for Your Toolbox
As a DIY enthusiast, I recently added the adjustable wrench to my toolbox, and I must say, it has become an indispensable tool for various tasks. This adjustable wrench has proven to be a reliable companion in tackling a wide range of projects. The build quality of the wrench is impressive, with sturdy materials that feel durable in hand. The smooth operation of the adjustable jaw mechanism allows for quick and easy adjustments to fit different nut and bolt sizes. I found it particularly useful when working on plumbing, automotive repairs, and even household fixes. The 10-inch size offers a good balance between versatility and portability, making it suitable for both small-scale and larger projects. The grip is comfortable, providing a firm hold during use without causing hand fatigue. One of the standout features of this TEKTON adjustable wrench is its precision. The jaws maintain a strong grip on the fasteners, minimizing the risk of slipping and rounding off corners. This attention to detail has saved me time and frustration on multiple occasions. Although it might not be a top-of-the-line professional-grade tool, the TEKTON 10 Inch Adjustable Wrench is excellent value for money and performs exceptionally well for everyday DIY tasks. Whether you're a seasoned handyman or just starting with basic repairs, this wrench is a practical addition to any toolkit. In conclusion, I highly recommend the TEKTON 10 Inch Adjustable Wrench (Model: 23004) to anyone looking for a dependable and versatile tool for various projects around the house or garage. Its reliability, ease of use, and reasonable price point make it a valuable addition to any DIY arsenal.

Cute Wrench
Super cute little wrench. I bought as a stocking stuffer for my husband and he literally carries it in his pocket every day. Great quality and very convenient size. Would buy again and again.

Great quality from Tekton, as always.
Tekton has got to be my favorite tool brand. As a non-pro user who likes to purchase quality, Tekton nails every metric I value. Great pricing for the quality you get. Their warranty program is as good as it gets, just send a picture of your broken tool and they'll send you a new one, no questions asked. If you're someone who wants quality tools without tool truck prices, my choice is Tekton. As for the 4" adjustable wrench, everything checks out, exactly as described. The finish is good, construction is sturdy, and jaw isn't sloppy. It isn't an extremely high precision instrument, but that is not necessary for this application. Why don't you try turning a nut with a set of calipers, haha!! I got it to finish off my adjustable wrench collection. I have a set of craftsman that goes down to 6 inches and wanted the smallest functional size to complete the set.

I expected better... but it's not bad
Tekton tools have a great reputation for build quality, tool metal, and precision fit. The 4" adjustable wrench that I purchased isn't a *bad* tool, but it's not a great tool. I expected better. The Tekton wrench I received is made in China, and it is almost identical in every way to the less expensive Amazon Basics 4" adjustable wrench that I purchased at the same time for comparison. It's highly usable, very compact, and I expect to get years of use out of it. That's not a concern. However, the adjustable jaw is sloppy, which I did not expect. The adjusting screw has a lot of play on its axle, meaning that the moving jaw wiggles as you push the adjusting screw back and forth. And, unfortunately, the axle is driven in, not screwed, so it won't be easy to remove and shim the adjustment wheel. So, the screw turns easily, but the jaw wiggles a fair amount. It'll be fine for low-torque applications like tightening mirrors and other light maintenance on my bicycle, but it's not the premium tool that I expected.

Excellent value for the money!
First, the wrench is excellent: as well finished as the Crescent wrenches of 30 to 40 years ago. Fit is excellent, with all parts tight and easy to adjust. Cost was great: not the cheapest but also not the most expensive. Who is Tekton? They are US based and many of their tools are made here in the US, with some made in the Pacific Rim. Where is this wrench made? Don't know, as it was not marked. When searching their website, I saw the blurb about where tools are made, but also noted their tools are unconditionally guaranteed! If a tool breaks, simply take a photo, showing the break, as well as the Tekton marking and email to Tekton, with your address. They will replace the tool. I also bought a set of 1/2" drive impact sockets, and they are made as well as this wrench. Cost was above mid-range in comparison to other makes. I would recommend them also. Those reading this, should note I am 67 years old, not retired (I own a manufacturing plant). I have worked with my hands for over 50 years. Other mechanic tools I own are Craftsman, some Proto and my favorite, SK Wayne. The Tekton are not SK Wayne, but then again the price is way less than half of that level. Tekton feels better in the hand than comparable present day Craftsman, and at a lower cost.

IMO, a great little tool for small nuts & tight places, useful for the majority of people
- I gave 5 stars because the item I received is exactly as described, is exactly what I expected for the price, and yet is also completely sufficient for my needs, and I would guess that it would suit the needs of the vast majority of people. It holds nuts that go onto #4-40 bolts just fine, and the same is true for bolts that fit onto #6-32 bolts. I haven't tried it on anything smaller yet, but I doubt I will have any problems. - - There are a number of bad reviews whining that this Tekton wrench doesn't have precise tolerances and is, according to the negative reviews, therefore "useless", and that what everyone "really needs" is a 4-inch wrench costing over $30 or even over $50. - That's just silly. - Anyone who actually *does* the sort of high-precision work that *does* require precision tools machined to NASA aerospace tolerances is - or at least *should* be!!! - smart or experienced enough to realize that NO tool costing less than $6 on Amazon is going to be appropriate for that sort of work, and therefore would also be smart enough to not get it and then whine like dooflollies because they received the item that was described and got what they paid for.

Inexpensive but NOT "cheap"
I've come to trust Tekton in recent years for good quality tools at low prices. I don't always want to invest big bucks in a tool I might only use a few times, but I really hate spending money on a tool that is so poorly made that it doesn't work well! Tekton has become my goto brand in those cases. This crescent wrench is a great example. The spiral adjustment mechanism turns easily but is not loose or sloppy. The tool is nicely finished with accurate inch and metric opening size rulers etched on the jaw. It worked great for my plumbing task, unlike the more expensive noname wrench I first bought for the job.

Meh.
It works, but the head is pretty loose, especially for it’s size. Tekton is usually pretty decent, especially for being kind of a cheapo brand. This particular 4” wrench is on the lower end of their quality spectrum. For 5 bucks, not bad. If/when I lose this one, I’ll look for a better one. Edit: I’ve since purchased a 4” made by the “original brand” (hint hint). It is available here on Amazon for ten bucks. It comes with a plastic coated handle that I simply cut off. I did a side by side comparison and found my newest one to be superior. I smacked the two wrenches together at the jaw edge. The tekton was the one that dented, so either the tekton isn’t tempered or the tempering on the other is superior. What’s more important is that my new one came with some sort of tensioning spring between the adjustment knob and it’s spindle. This results in the knob not being able to spin freely, so it doesn’t loosen up between cranks on the bolt. Smart! Long story short: Prices fluctuate, especially here on Amazon. Unless there is a serious discrepancy in price between the two, I would/will go with the other one every time. I’m not trying to slam Tekton. They just didn’t get it on this one.

Does the job
Not sure what to say, but it does what it does. In terms of its durability I would say that it is sturdier than from my expectation. It's weight is also quite surprising, in the sense that you would consider it durable just by its own weight. I thought that it would just be a lightweight steel. Overall, I think this wrench is a good buy, but I wouldn't expect it to turn a 6+ inch knot. But then again, I haven't tried to use it on one.

Seems like it'll do the job nicely
Got this to add to a tool kit I've put together as a Christmas present to a family member. It has a very nice weight to it and seems pretty good quality but I won't be able to test it out for myself sadly. The wrench in my own kit was a cheap one from B&Q, it weighs less that this and has served me very well so far so I trust this one will last just as well for the odd job here and there.
