ABO Gear Cast Iron Skillet Cast Iron Pan, 12 Inch Pre Seasoned Skillet Cast Iron Pan

This pan has been a great addition to my kitchen. The thick pan allows for my food to be cooked evenly and thoroughly without burning them. It's not quite nonstick, but does well with a light coating of oil before putting anything into it. I'm glad this came pre-seasoned, since that process can take hours sometimes spending on the quality of the pan. This takes little to upkeep, too, just keep it dry and re-season when needed. This type of pan works exceptionally well with fish and pork. Other things work well, but those have come out much better when using this pan. The pan itself is a good weight, but do be aware that cast irons are MUCH heavier than standard pans, so don't drop it, but if you do, move your feet!

Multipurpose use. I used this pan as a weight to brown a brisket so that the edges wouldn’t curl. I also used it to make braised short ribs of beef, from browning the meat to sautéing the onions and garlic, deglazing the pan and then into the oven for a fabulous one pan dish. The pan comes preseasons (a real plus) and includes care instructions. Also the double handles make it easier to handle. It is heavy as it should be.

I've used cast iron for about a generation and my outdoor use one "disappeared" over the winter so I was just doing without, cooking directly on the grate for both my infrared gas grill and charcoal one. While surfing Amazon looking for something else I saw this pan and decided for the price it was worth taking a chance.It did arrive preseasoned but I seasoned it again just to help keep the burgers from sticking a little better.I put some wood chips on the coals to help increase that outdoor flavor and the burgers have a nice cast iron taste along with a hint of smoke and hickory charcoal.I have my best luck using these fry pans when cooking over an open flame but the Smoky Joe Jr suffices and in a pinch gas grills will also work just fine but without that outdoor flavor addition to the cast iron flavor.Cleanup was a breeze with a wet rag (no soap needed) and while it was cooling down I seasoned it yet again with some vegetable oil.If you've never cooked on cast iron before this is a very good pan to get into a new realm of deliciousness in your cooking.

Good cast iron skillet and nice that is preseasoned. The small handle on the opposite side from the long handle is great as it allows you better lifting and moving abilities. It was a very reasonable value for the money.

We like cooking with cast iron. I saw this good deal and got this for my daughter. She says she likes it because it is easy to clean. It keeps food warm when not on heat after cooking. Taking one star away for it is heavy.

The skillet is exactly what I wanted. Heavy duty, easy to season and clean. I use it everyday and have it seasoned well. Glad to add this to my kitchen!

I like the way this pan cleans and distributes heat. I’ve found that not every cast-iron skillet is equal, but this one hits the mark. Not Overly heavy.

I was skeptical getting this pan because of the price but it works great! Totally worth the money and I love the size!
